Funny Patrick Macnee's name should come up. I seem to remember reading in his memoirs about his having a "get to know" type dinner date with Diana when she was selected as his new co-star, and she made it clear at that time that she was only interested in the intellectual type (the clear inference being that he didn't qualify.) Though I can't imagine how, she seems to have gotten the message across in a way that didn't offend. The point being that unless she changed her priorities in thee next few years, I can't see her going for Laz, who despite his other attributes is not what I'd consider a mental giant. At the very least I'd think Diana was too sharp to have believed for a moment that this guy could have been monogamous to anyone.
Sounds to me like another "George story": supposedly lamenting past mistakes but managing to boast in the process.

I'm pretty sure Lazenby is just trying to get back in the Bond spotlight by making up gossip from 43 years ago. If his agent wasn't such an idiot and George stayed for a further 6 movies, then he wouldn't have to.
