Hello,
I recently purchased a 22 disk collection of 007 DVD's. I was reading the titles and came across one that was misspelled. Does that make this collection more valuable?

Depends what the misspelling is, on the "disk".

No it's on the box itself on the back where the titles arre listed. Instead of saying 'Octopussy,' they have it spelled "Dctopussy."

That's a bit embarrasing for them! I'd be well annoyed if I were you...

Sound like bootlegs to me...

If the front of the box is about one quarter gray/silver and three-quarters white with black lettering ("Best of Bond") it's most definitely the prevalent bootleg collection that is sold EVERYWHERE online.

Might make it worth less.

Or worthless.

Apologies for any misspelling.

There's no B&W lettering on the box. BTW the box is red.

I once saw the common "The Connery Collection" or whatever its called in HMV and on the back Goldfinger was misspelled as "Golfinger" which I found rather amusing. The most iconic film in the franchise and they can't even proofread the title for it. Perhaps it was actually intentional and it was supposed to refer to the golf scene or Sir Sean's obsession with the game.

Surely those little 'oddities,' would improve the collectability of the item. Just look at stamps, coins etc. & the amount of mistakes they print & get out to the public as collectibles.

Not on a box of DVD's.
