An add-on? That's bit naff...are you sure? They seem to have the image for an XBox and PS3 release under pre-order, as if it will be a hard copy to sell in the future?

I hope it's more of a full game..!

I hope they include movies like OHMSS or FYEO and not just the typical more populars like GF or TB.

Of course, it will be a full game but that trailer gave me the feeling of an add-on because you couldn't see much improvement to GE:R, maybe I'm wrong but we'll see how it ends in the next few months.

Looks a bit rough around the edges, but I'll wait for proper gameplay impressions. We might get those at E3 in a couple of weeks.

Mmm, what I expected really, looks decent enough but it's basically Reloaded again for different films. I think it'll be good but I'd definitely prefer a Skyfall tie-in, or something like Nightfire where it has elements of SF in a whole new story. Playing through old films just when a new one's round the corner is not that appealing to me. I guess the SF elements won't be that spoilerific if it's out a week before the film.

And they used that same old music!!!

You know something. I've almost totally lost faith in Activision. So I have a feeling the other 5 missions to be revealed will be.

From Russia With Love - Because they're lazy and don't want to make new characters, so they're using the multipayer character mods from GoldenEye Reloaded (As seen with Drax and Jaws in the Moonraker Level.)
Goldfinger - Because they're lazy and don't want to make new characters, so they're using the multipayer character mods from GoldenEye Reloaded (As seen with Drax and Jaws in the Moonraker Level.)
The Man With The Golden Gun - Because they're lazy and don't want to make new characters, so they're using the multipayer character mods from GoldenEye Reloaded (As seen with Drax and Jaws in the Moonraker Level.)
Live And Let Die - Because they're lazy and don't want to make new characters, so they're using the multipayer character mods from GoldenEye Reloaded (As seen with Drax and Jaws in the Moonraker Level.)
Die Another Day - Because it just seems like something they would do.

*snip*

I wouldn't be surprised if you're right with most of that, apart from GoldenEye though, I think that would be pushing it a bit. Announcing Moonraker as mission 1 seems a bit bizarre unless it's just going to be in a random order. I expect the game will be a complete reskinning of Reloaded with some new weapons/maps for multiplayer. Pretty disappointing but it should still be a decent game.

*holds head in hands*

Mharkin you speak sense but I hope they don't follow the easy path....I was thinking too all the 'add-on' stuff they could re-hash from 'GoldenEye Reloaded', the work is all there so they just need to plonk it in a film scene to work.

I look forward to seeing this video later...I think...!

On a more lighter note. I wonder who's gonna do the music. I'm always excited about that prospect, that is of course if they don't dump the Bond theme.

It actually seems like they are using the exact same engine just so they can reuse the skins they made for Goldeneye. That's hilarious! Yeah I probably won't be investing. Get me the Raven game.

Otis possible the characters were in reloaded because they already made them for Legends, and not vice versa

Possible, but I don't think it's very likely.

I don't think the only reason they're using the Reloaded engine is because they can recycle the character models either, Reloaded got good reviews and it's a solid engine so it makes sense to continue down the FPS/GE/nostalgia path.

WELL....it does look a bit of a rush job but sad to say I'll be investing. It does look good fun, all the Moonraker shuttles, garb and stuff. It's a nice throw back to expect Roger Moore running around, and nice seeing Holly Goodhead too in the fray!

I hope the next 5 missions build on this...I'll stick with it for now. But that choral music...I guess that's just the best they can do for a pulse-pounding generic Bond style action shooter!

Now if the Classic Characters in GE:Reloaded were there as 'teasers' as it was just multiplayer availiability...we have left..

'A View To A Kill' - Max Zorin
'Thunderball' - Emilio Largo
'Diamonds Are Forever' - Blofeld (Charles Gray)
'Goldfinger' - Goldfinger / OddJob / Pussy Galore
'Live And Let Die' - Dr.Kananga / Tee-Hee
'Dr.No' - Dr.No
'From Russia With Love' - Red Grant / Rosa Klebb

So there are 7 films here with 5 left in the mix...I doubt we will get a Brosnan or Dalton or Lazenby now looking at this list. Unless the surpirse us and have new character skins like Holly Goodhead.

Here's to the next reveal...!

I agree with most on here, it looks like its just gonna be a rehash of reloaded with some new maps, weapons and characters. The gameplay doesn't look like it has changed much, basically run and gun. I'll prolly ask for this as a Xmas gift so I wont have to buy it.

I must admit, I was not expecting to see Moonraker in. Shame the original actors won't be voicing their characters. (ex. Lonsdale as Drax)

Goldfinger - Because they're lazy and don't want to make new characters, so they're using the multipayer character mods from GoldenEye Reloaded (As seen with Drax and Jaws in the Moonraker Level.)
Live And Let Die - Because they're lazy and don't want to make new characters, so they're using the multipayer character mods from GoldenEye Reloaded (As seen with Drax and Jaws in the Moonraker Level.)

I'd almost bet money on Live And Let Die and Goldfinger.

Janus Assassin, the Doors lyric. Well done. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one Waiting For The Sun, so to speak!

Compared to a lot of recently released games, the graphics look awful, like something that was released 10 years ago rather than 2012. I hope I'm wrong...

Overall I have to say that Moonraker definitely isn't a big surprise... mostly due to Drax's laser gun being unlockable (with a code) in Goldeneye: Reloaded.

Which Bond do you play as that's what I want to know? Is it Daniel Craig all the way through? Do you play as the specific actor from the specific film?

Daniel Craig.

From the looks of the trailer it seems as though we MIGHT get faceless, speechless Bond in the previous film scenarios... but if that isn't the case it's definitely going to be Daniel Craig thoughout the whole shebang.

Now if the Classic Characters in GE:Reloaded were there as 'teasers' as it was just multiplayer availiability...we have left..

'A View To A Kill' - Max Zorin
'Thunderball' - Emilio Largo
'Diamonds Are Forever' - Blofeld (Charles Gray)

Since when was Max Zorin in FRWL!? I wonder if you meant to type Red Grant and your hands got INCREDIBLY confused?

Why are there helicopters in space...?

There aren't... it looks like there are sections on the ground and in the space station. I also THINK I see blue laser action, but the beams look off to me.

The problem is that movie licensed games always go to certain publishers / developments and for the past decade its usually been EA Games or Activision. You'll sadly never see Rockstar Games do a Bond game (the only movie licensed game they ever did was The Warriors). Movie licensed games are usually rushed out the same year the film they're based off is released and with a schedule like that these games end up like crap. For example Activision just released the video game adaptation of the film Battleship based off the board game. And its a cr*py FPS.
The one game that is heralded as the best movie tie-in game is Ghostbusters developed by Gearbox.
My hope is that Activision will eventually lose the license to the Bond franchise and license will end in the hands of a company that could Bond justice. With so much advancement in the gaming industry in the past decade its sad that Bond is still stuck in the world of boring, linear FPS shooters.

moonraker hmmm. it does fit in a video game because of the larger than life setup, but it's been done before (featured in a level in goldeneye 64, multiplayer maps in rogue agent...nightfire also had a moonraker-ish space level)

having seen this i'm starting to doubt that lazenby and dalton films will be seen, i would have loved to see them.

trying to think of other classic bond missions that would work well in a game and will be recognizable. goldfinger, thnderball and TSWLM seem the obvious choices..maybe the man with the golden gun? it hasn't been realized in gaming yet.

Tomorrow Never Dies. seems an obvious choice, larger than life mission in a stealth boat, bond and wai lin infiltrate and all hell breaks loose. the film was popular and i think is recognizable enough. the TND game wasn't that great IMO. it would be great to see it done justice!

I kinda figured Moonraker would be in there being video games are made by computer geeks who watch sci-fi quite often haha
i also figure we can safely say there will be no Dalton/Lazenby films- which is a shame because I think Franz Sanchez would make a great video game character, with a machete as a signature weapon and the lighter from Felix and Della could be an extra in multiplayer and set people on fire

Moonraker level, eh? Well, that´s a nice surprise ... considering we already got Moonraker covered with a level in the original Goldeneye,in various multiplayer-levels of previous EA-games and not to mentioned got a Moonraker-clone with Nightfire. What will the other levels be? GoldenEye for the 5000th time? From Russia with love? There are 22 Bond-movies to choose from and they always pick the same for the games. Geez!
I am already disapointed. They better include OHMSS and LTK levels or they can count me out on this one.

Hear hear Sir Robert. 22 films, and 'Skyfall' included as a bonus, but come on...22 films. Here's hoping they use the already created skins from 'GoldenEye Reloaded' and we get a cracking 'Live And Let Die' stealth and battle in Kananga's lair to rescue Solitare...or 'A View To A Kill' San Francisco mine battle to stop the bomb and Zorin....but I still pray for a Dalton film!

To expand on my earlier thoughts, the Bond games really seem to be missed opportunities. Goldeneye64 was a fun FPS and would gladly purchase it if they ported the N64 version to the xbox. Since then every game has been dull shooters lacking in any compelling story. GE64 was great and still is great because you acknowledge that when it was made during a time when they wasn't much like it. It was the next big shooter since Doom. With the recent games there's almost no point in playing it when you could spend your money on something a lot better.
While the Bond games can't get out of being mostly shooters the games have moved on and incorporate elements of the spy / adventure genre: Deus Ex series, Metal Gear Solid, Splinter Cell, Uncharted. A Bond game should have some elements of being a spy. Jeez Mission Impossible for the N64 felt more like a spy game.
A game currently in development at Rockstar is Agent, a spy thriller set in the 1970s during the Cold War. I'm excited about this game after the success R* has had at pushing storytelling in their games with GTA, RDR, and their collaboration with Team Bondi in LA Noire.
Makes me sad that we're probably get a Bond game on this level.

I have have mixed feelings about Legends. I actually hoped for period adaptations and that we would get to play one movie from each Bond's perspective. After all, six actors have played the role to the six missions we are supposed to get. But obviously these will be modern updates judging by bond using his smartphone camera in the trailer. Here's what I actually want.

Goldfinger or YOLT- these stories could easily be adapted to a video game format without changing much. For example, when the FRWL game came out, as much as I love this movie, I thought the story didn't translate well into an action game. You could tell they really paisting in unneccessary action for the story with that one. But I'd love to be able fight Oddjob and still have to help save Fort Knox or sneek into a volcano layer.

OHMSS- not only would this be story heavy but I think the game transition would work pretty well, with liberties taken of course. However, if their is to an overall story I doubt they'll use this since Bond losing his wife would take priority over the rest of the game (or maybe that's the point and the final mission will culminate in Blofeld's death giving him a better send off than the movies did... probably not though).

Moonraker- we already know this one's going to be there and while I have criticised it often, it would make a pretty fun game and this or TSWLM would have been the obvious choice. I probably would have picked TSWLM myself.

TLD or LTK- its a toss up here with pros and cons to both. TLD actions secquences have been done before with the cargo plane in uncharted 3 and I'm sure activision won't do it as well as Naughty Dog did.but TLD would ultimatly adapt better with the car chase and all. However, getting to play the tanker chase from LTK does sound tempting (driveing the tanker, doing the tanker stunts, hoping from truck to truck, etc.) sounds like a good game setpiece. However with the revenge plot I don't see this one fitting into an overall story either.

sigh... Die another Day- hear me out on this one. Its the only Brosnan movie that hasn't gotten a game and the story (as over the top as it was) would transition well. If they do go the Daniel Craig route it would probably be improved as they'll cut down on silliness (no offense to Brosnan). But for pete's sake make Jinx less annoying.

obviously skyfall.

None of this really matters since they'll probably modernize the one's they do use and rewrite them for Daniel Craig in which case I really don't care what they do as long as they pick movies that havent gotton the games treatment in the last twenty years though TND could do with another game without me feeling like the territory was too trampled.

I really would have preferred to play as Connery's, Lazenby's, Moore's, Dalton's, Brosnan's, and Craig's bonds separately and just keep the stories separate. Still one can dream. I will probably have to hope for Lego James Bond to get that. One concern I really have is if Legends is going to shove 6 movies into a game the length of the recent Goldeneye. This needs to be a longer gaming experience. I hope they don't rush and cram making 6 movies into six normal sized levels. That wouldn't do them any justice. But ultimatly I really liked Goldeneye so if it is the same approach, I'm sure I'll enjoy this too.
