I've been straining my eyes looking at some of the grainy call sheet images posted online, and I'm now pretty confident that Javier Bardem's character name has been listed as SILVA.

While that's no guarantee that it won't evolve slightly by the final product, it's certainly not Blofeld or Largo.

Silva? Well it's good to go on until it's official! Nice work Vauxhall.

Hmm..that's all good and well thinking about it, but I wonder why there's been so much secrecy about his character and name as that doesn't strike any Bond chords wiht me. I wonder if this will be a pseudonym or something...?

Fits the theory that they were simply keeping all the new names under wraps, in order to hide one or two (possibly Boothroyd and Messervy).

Yeah, I suppose. Besides, certainly adds excitement to a film's build up!

Well, Silva is a very common Portuguese Surname. Even Senna was Ayrton Senna da Silva ;) Then there´s the famous actor António Silva and many many more. Like I said, pretty common. And Javier is Spanish and has played a Brazilian in some films so, who knows, maybe the character is portuguese or brazilian.

Do you happen to have any shots of the call-lists Vauxhall to have a gander at? I've never seen any of them here.

I'm a bit hesitant to post pictures or links here, but I'd recommend searching for 'Skyfall call sheet' on a well-known online auction site, and some should appear!

Hmm according to the one with the yellowish paper, I would guess that Ola Rapace's surname would be Patrice (it looks like a very short name with a longer surname - could be Rory Kinner as Bill Tanner as well - possibly a better fit). As for the rest... you'd need better eyesight than I have to make anything out (except Judi Dench M on one and what might be Ben Whishaw on the other as Q.

Haha...no problem! Interesting find...

....now either you have 20/20 vision or my sight is pretty bad...I can't make SIlva out for Bardem at all. I only got Bond, M and Tanner with the wording of the actors but Bardem I still can't get. At least you managed and reported it anyway!

Grief - you might be right.

Although had you not suggested the name, I'm not sure I could have arrived at it. But otherwise it looks positive.

The other names are recognisable. Bond, Tanner etc.

Well done.

Man..I took a glance at the call sheet on that "well-known-online-auction-site" myself and sheesh! I'm VERY impressed that you could make out that name, Vauxhall! It is so blurry! Hope you didn't strain your eyes too bad!

Haha! Admittedly the listing at the bottom is very blurry, but there's another reference halfway down the page, which I found to be slightly clearer. Kudos to the screen quality at my work. Definitely think I'd have struggled to make it out by only looking at the image on my phone's browser.

Very interesting. This is the sort of tidbit I've been waiting for.

The capitalized "Silva" at the bottom of the call sheet is hard to read, but higher up the page there's a description of a scene where the name is (slightly) more legibly printed in mixed-case. The name appears elsewhere in the description of some of the characters. Based on this, I'm pretty confident that Bardem's character is named Silva. Certainly it's a Portuguese surname, but it's such a common, widely dispersed name that the character's nationality is still open to question. But it does suggest that he won't be playing a Turk, which surprises me. Unless "Silva" is an alias, which is entirely possible.

I can't make out any of the scene numbers, but these are the three scenes as best I can make out:

EXT - WHITEHALL OFFICE
Bond sprints to the front of the building.

EXT - WHITEHALL OFFICE
Silva escapes out of a side door and into a getaway van. Bond exits M's car.

EXT - WHITEHALL OFFICE
Tanner puts M in her car. It speeds off.

As for the actor-character table at the bottom, I can't decipher anything below Tanner, but two of the characters seem to be identified as "Silva's [blank]", where the second word is about long enough to be DRIVER or MINION or something.

I think we can be reaonably confident that Silva is from Spain or Portugal, or from another country with a lot of Spanish or Portuguese influence - like Brazil or Angola - given that Javier Bardem is Spanish himself.

Unless "Silva" is an alias, which is entirely possible.

If "Silva" is an alias, then the script will make it clear that is an alias in the scenes where that alias is used. It will refer to the character by their actual name everywhere else, so as to avoid confusion.

Nice find. Like univex said, SILVA is a very Latin name. Could be Spanish, Mexican, Brazilian, and so on. By the way, anyone noticed this? We can clearly see NATIONAL GALLERY as a location. The names, I came with BEN WISHAW as Q (one letter character), NAOMIE HARRIS and OLA RAPACE. What do you guys think?

Agreed, although the only characters actually involved in the National Gallery are Bond and Q. It should also be noted that it was a night shoot - presumably this might be the setting for the Q briefing scene. Naomie Harris and Ola Rapace are listed in the section normally reserved for preparations - fight training, rehearsals, costume fittings, etc.

Well acquired Marketto! Very much looking forward to any other pages of the call sheets you can publish and/or exclusive information you can publish. It will save some of us straining our eyes on grainy eBay thumbnails. :)

Interesting that Silva appears to just get into a police van quite casually. I guess it's a fake van, but it also suggests to me that he's a well-connected and organised villain.

" So if I understand it correctly..Mr. Silva got away..in a police van that sprouted wings!" "Oh that's perfectly feasible sir...as a matter of fact, we are working on one now..." "Oh Q, shut up!!" LOL...

Think we've seen, from the various online videos of filming which have been posted already, Bond sprinting to the front of the building, the police van and armed guards pulling up to the building (possible fake police van as Vauxhall suggests), and the most recent still was of Tanner hurrying M out to her car?
