Smiley button unresponsive

When I try to click on the smiley button, nothing happens. The font, BBCode and other toggles work, but not this.

Any help?

Same here, didn't notice this before. Do the traditional smileys work???

EDIT: no, evidently; seems to be a global setting of the software.
