Currently the threads look somewhat unusual, in a manner that suggests it's not simply an experiment with a new colour scheme and graphics design (i.e. white background, graphics only partially loaded, content aligned left; in one word: scary).

Am I the only one with that problem? The main page and board index seem unaffected by this.

Apologies for the downtime on the forums - we had to do a new upgrade, and it broke our existing skin - that's why things look a little nasty at the moment! They're no easy thing to put together, so it's taking a while.

I figured it'd be best to re-enable the forums, in a 'readable' state, rather than have no forum at all.

It frustrates me a lot that with most of the InvisionBoard updates I've done recently, they've changed the skin template HTML and CSS, which means a lot of work each upgrade!

That said I note a lot of new features and an overall better operability for the mobile version.

Agreed. The default skin for the forum (grey text on a black background) does look a bit rough, but that's a very minor issue IMO, but a big thanks goes out to those who have worked on this for the past few days, as I can't imagine it being a very easy task at all.

I will say, though, that I LOVE the IP Board skin for the forum. Having the option of a lighter theme for the forum, with black text against a white background, is something I've long wanted to see on this site, so a big thanks for this option. :)

Good lordy, this will take some getting used too.

Nice to see the forums back, though!

I trust the site issues will be resolved in time.

Everything seems fine to me, except for the charcoal-on-pitch text color scheme.

It seems it's is trying to be more social-media friendly but it's failing miserably, otherwise, I can deal.

+1 to you, sir. I switched to the IP skin as soon as I read your comment, and it is very good.

The difference is that MI6 fundamentally altered its forum mechanics, and became awkward to use. CBn hasn't done that.

I'm disappointed that my avatar is gone; are all the forum-set ones gone with the upgrade? I'd like to recover it, somehow... :-S

My problem is that the text in posts is barely lighter than the background, making it very difficult to read. The only way I can read it is to highlight the text in each post, which gets old after a while. Is there any way for me to lighten the text?

The best thing to do is just to switch to the IP.Board skin until it's sorted out. Simple and effective. I haven't had any trouble on this skin,

Thanks for bringing them back up. I'm glad it's at least accessible even if the styles are messed up at the moment.

On the other hand CBn has provided a great service to the Bond community for years, so I think people will understand it can't be available 100% of the time. Don't bust a nut during the holiday season fixing up something that can wait.

I'm mostly using my iPhone and the mobile version of CBn doesn't look bad at all. The controls now are even a bit easier to handle. Plus an alternative to the light-against-dark-background colour scheme was something many people wanted to see.

Many thanks to your team for sorting this all out!

Yeah - same viewing problems.

Also, it all looks a bit bloated now - it was all so much more sleek and efficient in the previous guise. Not given to so much wasted space.

Thanks, Team for bringing us back online! It's already a good work-in-progress, so I guess the end product will be just fine.
I switched to the IP.Board skin, and it's all good. I even appreciate it much more than the previous one.

... and with the number of posts now appearing clearly just below the member's ID, I just realised how little I have written so far!
