Yeah the title should should be fine, just avoid looking at the soundtrack listing. I remember on Star Wars Episode I's soundtrack there's a track on there called "Qui Gon's Noble End", even on Casino Royale there's "Death of Vesper", so yeah I would avoid the soundtrack but not the title song.

Well spotted indeed.
I guess the main title song will not spoil anything; we should be quite safe listening to it.

I am not completely spoiler free. I am aware of facets of the movie, but not the intricate details. I am still deciding on how I tackle my wait for the movie to come out in Australia. I'll try my damnedest to avoid footage leaks, complete plot rundowns, etc. I really get the feeling this time of going into a movie with a relative clean slate, and let it all unfold in front of me. I’ll be right on the premiere coverage with the cast and all that. I’ll see how I go.

It's really impossible to be involved in CBn and completely forego spoilers. I know a lot more about the film than I originally wanted to. But it's still tip-of-the-iceberg stuff and probably not a single per cent of what others already know. A main title song will hardly be that much revealing. The only one having plot-related vocals - beyond 'kill-death-martinis' and such - was TMWTGG. And that one's title itself is a major reveal of the plot and the outcome hardly a surprise.

One perhaps might argue TWINE's song also gives away a bit about the film's story. But Carlyle's 'Renard' character was never really main villain stuff, so we must look for the only other disfigured character in that one. And no, that's not Denise Richards...

Overall the chances of a main title song containing main story spoilers are slim in my view.

Yeah, I remember I read the Star Wars one in TV Tropes, but after all, it was a prequel. You expect Qui Gon (and every other Jedi) to die and Anakin to become Darth Vader.

About Casino Royale... it was based on a 1953's novel from which two movies have been made... I wouldn't call it spoiler.

It's proving surprisingly easy for me.

(That's probably also because I don't get as worked up about Bond films any more the way I used to.)

I went to see 'The Bourne Legacy' the other day in the cinema when the trailer came on. As soon as I heard Judi Dench I shut my eyes and covered my ears. Very interesting experiment! The sound was so loud I couldn't help but hear a few lines but if you asked me to remember them now... I draw a complete blank. Probably because I have no images to go along with them.

So I'm still 97% spoiler free (I know which actors will star in it) and I'm getting excited about being surprised in a month.

I was thinking of `filtering` out the SF forums during the UK release but I wonder if I`ll have the will power to do so.

97% is pretty awesome.

This is torture, especially now that the CBn main page is starting to feature TV spots. I don't click them but knowing they exist make me wish November would hurry up and get here. Also makes me envy fellow CBn'ers (is that the right term?) in the UK with your spiffy October release date.

The only spoiler left for me to resist is the theme song. It's out there, it's everywhere, and I've managed to avoid hearing it so far. My obsession has rubbed off on those around me to the point where my son and my girlfriend, upon hearing a radio announcer introduce the song, will also shut it off, so that they won't hear it first. I don't care if they do, but they care. That's devotion!

I read the opinions of others who've heard it on these forums, but these opinions are so mixed, and everyone's tastes so didactic that I don't find my expectations swayed. I look forward to hearing Adele's song for the first time over Daniel Kleinman's titles, the way God intended.

I've already ordered the soundtrack and the CD single, but I won't see them until close to or after opening day anyway. And what's with this new policy of not having the theme song on the OST? Is this a marketing ploy, a contractual obligation or just screwy timing (or is the piece titled 'Skyfall' actually the theme song, buried in the middle of the track list for some reason? It can't be for the same reason as OHMSS's was).

For the most part no, I've followed the production of every one since Goldeneye, it almost seems like tradition at this point.

I'm not totally spoiler free but I'm not seeking out info on the film. I have seen some trailers and heard the title song... but that's about it. Random rumours here and there.

Still managing to saty as much spoiler-free as possible, having only seen the trailers and heard the song.
Anyway, even if I didn't want to, it would be impossible in France: there's absolutely nothing whatsoever about SF. Which is a bit weird, really. 2 weeks to go and still nothing except 1 or 2 randomly displayed posters.

Four weeks to go and I've seen a small handful of stills and heard the (underwhelming) theme song just once. Can't wait to take my seat in the cinema knowing almost nothing about SF.

It's really getting harder and harder as the release comes closer. Can we ask the UK members to please limit discussing the film for the first week or two after the release to the spoilers section of the forum?

Agreed. They'll probably create a spoiler thread for reactions on Skyfall to specifically talk about it.

We'll open up a review thread in the spoiler section and a non-spoiler thread in this forum. It's up to you to stay out of them :) I'm sure you'll be able to resist.

I came home from work, exhausted, turned on the TV and messed up. I forgot to change the channel and saw a TV spot as a result. I really liked it though.

I guess us North Americans will have to filter out the Skyfall Spoilers section until November 9th, it will be hard and but I still haven't even started watching the Bond films yet so perhaps I'll start tomorrow and try and watch 2 films a night, until Nov 9th.

Now that I have seen it, I must say it was the right decision to stay spoiler-free.
Everything was new to me, and I really enjoyed discovering while watching the film, and not knowing beforhand what would happen.
To those of you who have not yet seen SF, I strongly recommend you stay as much spoiler-free as possible. It's a unique experience, and you'll see it was worth it.

Everytime I see a response on a thread that is under SPOILERS: Skyfall I just go to that thread and make that forum read, so they don't show up on my new posts. I don't want anything to be revealed to me.

Am I staying spoiler free? Absolutely! I've been to three screenings so far and have had my ears and eyes covered the entire time.

Sad way to waste money, tho.

Uh... questions, how many screenings do I need to attend before I'm allowed spoilers?

Managed to stay fairly spoiler free.

Things I knew about the movie before entering the theater:

Spoiler

I stayed off CommanderBond, most of that was stuff that I saw as headlines on different movie news sites.
