NEVER KISS A STREANGER is going through the editing and copywriting phase.
I'm very proud of it.
It isn't what I'd call a straight forward 007 FanFic. The plot is only just about there. The whole piece is more to do with character and atmosphere. It follows on from my previous FanFic THOSE WHO THE GODS LOVE... and, after struggling to insert action and intrigue into that opus, I found this time I was more interested in people than plot. If pushed I'd say this is more Chandler than Fleming though Chandler wouldn't thank me.

You have just made my week Chris!!!!! I am going to print out NKAS and start reading it Monday evening. Your story is going to be my refuge after days of torture in the literal sense. Thank you God for such timing. Survival is one hell of a course, especially at sea in the Baltic. Anyway, I'm not going to peek until Monday evening after my first heart attack. Just keep them coming Chris and I'll be your best mate till the end of time.

Many thanks to every one who has replied and read my first two chapters.
I usually keep them coming quite swiftly, 007jamesbond, as the novel is fully complete and I tend to get impatient! They'll come along every 5 - 7 days, moderators pending.
I will be submitting chapter 3 at the weekend.

I finally caught up with the first chapters, and it was an agreeable read!
There is indeed the TSWLM vibe, but a fresher look on the girl's past.
I first thought that the tall stranger with blue eyes was JB undercover, but now I think I was mistaken...

still really behind...but how many chapters are you planning to have in total?

There are only 17 chapters. The story does have a slow burn because it is more to do with people - particulalry Amy and Bond's relationship - than action. I think I interpret them very well and am glad some readers are enjoying the naturalistic dialogue and the languorus descriptions, which all help to build atmosphere and the underlying tension between the characters.
I submit 2 chapters a week. The next chapter will be submitted at the weekend.
Keep reading 007jamesbond - it is rewarding.
