So without further delay, coming in late summer/fall 2011:

For the first time in the history of my bond music posted here I'm not going to deliberately try and imitate another composer...any similarities are purely coincidental. I'll be going for my own vibe. Of course it should be said that my comfort zone and vibe WILL utilize a barrage of synthesizer / electronic work paired with a slightly smaller string section and some heavy brass work. If you're dying to have something to compare my sound and vibe to for this album, I'd say it'll be similar to the vibes set fourth by John Powell, Daft Punk, Chemical Brothers, and Oakenfold. This project is a CONCEPT ALBUM, it's meant to adapt a vibe never heard in a bond film before... no John Barryisms, no David Arnoldisms, no Zimmerisms, just me, my samples, and whatever I think sounds different and cool. I can't reiterate this enough.. I'm fine with Barrys original score... and I'm not trying to do something better nor is this a rescore project... just 40 minutes or so of psuedo unique bond music for all you fans and an excuse for me to have some fun with the bond sound.
So far, here is the track list (titles could change):
1. Gunbarrel and Scaramangas Dangerous Game - Gone is the funhouse which has been replaced by a pre-credit sequence in which paid mercenaries storm scaramangas private island. Slowly, these well trained mercs are picked off in the island jungle by Scaramanga and his golden gun ala The Most Dangerous Game. We eventually find out Scaramanga hired these mercs himself... for sport. The film still takes place in and around Thailand.
2. Find Him First 007
3. Lebanese Hospitality
4. 4.2 MM Gun
5. One Inch Senor Lazar?
6. Tracking Anders
7. Down at the Bottoms Up
8. Debriefing
9. Identity Crisis
10. A Proper Education
11. River Chase
12. Goodnight Ms. Anders
I'll post a new thread when it's done. So far I've already got the first track well on its way and am going to try something slightly different (yet familiar) for the gunbarrel. This is a long time coming, and I think my music is at a point now where it's time to tackle a project such as this. Stay tuned.
