So since we are denied the book for a while longer and can't be apart of the conversation I thought I would start a new thread. I guess we could continue speculating for a while ... though it would b e funny considering the other guys have all the answers.

I've been spending my time rereading some Bond of course and LeCarre as well as some Deaver to get more into his style (which I really like now).

So how you guys handling the wait?

IDW publishing have released three hardback volumes of Sherlock Holmes stories in chronological order. I have two out of three volumes and I'm reading a story a day.

I've also got Queen remasters to look forward to also, along with completing LA Noire for Xbox and possibly looking for a reasonably priced copy of DC Universe Online for PS3.

If I don't think about Carte Blanche not being available yet, the wait will pass quickly.

All frustrations shall be expressed via my copy of Punch Out for the Wii ;)

Audiobook? No thanks, I prefer to read. The whole audiobook idea strikes me as lazy.

Bully to you then :P

Actually, I noticed on your profile you listed guitars as an interest. Do you have a favorite model/type?

I like Ibenez/Washburn myself. My favorite amplifier is definitely a Vox :D

I've got quite a few guitars, a bunch of Carvins and Jacksons as well as the odd Dean. For amplification I use a Line 6 Vetta 2, Behringer V-Amp 2, and Line 6 Spider for practice.

My life can be condensed down to my 3 passions. Reading, guitars and karate.

Very cool. My all time favorite guitar to have would be a Brian May Red Special replica. I've also played bass when I was slightly younger. Currently relearning it again.

What's to relearn? Same tuning for the strings, just lower and less of them. I've never had a problem with one or the other.

Got a les paul myself, but I´m more of a piano guy. The wait is excruciating, so i´m re reading OHMSS for the 500th time. Other than that, lots of work and fun games with the girlfriend ;)Although I´m not in the US, I´m close enough...in the middle of the atlantic

I've bought the US version of Carte Blache on the 26th of May at the American Bookstore in Amsterdam.

By the way, I've got a few Les Pauls, a Telecaster and a fretless acoustic bass that kept me busy during the wait :)

Didn't sleep much, got back home with it from the Walmart at 1:53am and got right into it. Always hated the idea of book releases on Tuesdays, screws up the work week for those of us trying to read that much anticipated book.

I plan on reading it twice by the weekend and then posting my thoughts then after fully absorbing it.

I'm on chapter 16, since there were 6 or so chapters in the sample I downloaded the other day. I'm enjoying it a lot to be honest. A nice modern refresher for the literary Bond, especially having just read DMC a second time a week ago. Luckily, while it's slow at work, I'm able to read through it a bit today!

Got my copy at Barnes & Noble yesterday. Between it being on sale, and me having a membership, I got it for 30% off. Then I got home, checked my e-mail, and had a coupon for 40% off. Of course, I finished the book I was reading Sunday, so I had to start something new, which I now have to finish before I read this.
