Although, at the same time, the Lincoln doesn't do much bur just get Bond from point A to point B, while the taker has that ability to do those stunts, but oh well. To each their own.

In my opinion, LTK represents a series low in terms of car representation. There aren't any exciting vehicle segments/chases at all. The tanker chase is the closest one to qualify, but isn't all that creative and tankers are big and slow.
As some may know, I'm a car nut and vehicle chases are one of my favorite aspects of Bond films. There have been some great chases by land, sea, and air through the series history and LTK totally disappoints. The chases aren't anything special and the cars are lame.

I would have to agree with you there. In terms of cars, the same goes for LALD.
Well, in terms of cars you are correct. But, LALD makes up for it with the awesome boat chase.
The Moore and Brosnan eras (and some people find this a negative from what I've read around here) were pretty action-packed & had many wonderful vehicle chase sequences by air, land, and sea. This kind of high-speed action really appeals to me. Craig has done pretty well so far (QoS specifically), but has a little ways to go in terms of vehicle chases.

I would have to agree with you there. I mean, the vehicle chase in Casino Royale was far better in my opinion than the one depicted in the beginning of QoS. It was so short, but at the same time I loved it! But you're right, the vehicle chases with Brosnan and Moore are much better than the other Bond's. At the same time, the tanker chase in LtK is up there as well and it for me, beats the ice chase scene in TLD.

I think both segments are really great and add a new flavor to car chases in Bond films. As in, they are something we haven't seen before. We had never seen Bond race down a road at night determined to get his love back only to see her lying in the middle of the road at the last minute and then have his beautiful car flip several times and get ripped to shreds in the process. Really excellent stuff.
Then in Qos the setup itself is pretty standard, but the dirty and violent way it plays out is again something very new for the series. I tend to lean towards the sequence in QoS more only b/c it's significantly longer.
As for Dalton, the tanker chase isn't bad, but I never found much special about it. I think just about every Brosnan and probably Moore era chase is more exciting. The ice chase in TLD is wonderful though, it's not quite as long as I would have liked, but very cool. "I had a few optional extras installed," classic.

Yeah, as would most people say that the QoS chase is better since it's longer. Hehehe! I believe I'm in the minority with that [Casino Royale] scene. As for Dalton, you're right, I wish that the ice chase would have been longer as well. It's pretty short and the anticipation leading up to it lets you down fast once it's over. But at the same time, I much prefer the cello case going down the mountain than seeing a car with skis attached to it escaping. Very creative touch.

The whole sequence is excellent. One thing the Bond films have been great at over the years is creating exciting and creative chase sequences. Bond may start out in a car, jump on some skis, and next thing you know he's parachuting down a mountain...or riding down one in a cello case!
