I stumbled upon this Youtube video:


The similarity of this transparent touch-screen with M's iPhone-like desktop struck me.
One more example of Bond film designs featuring technologies that seem futuristic at the time of the release, but are actually just what's being brewed in tech labs at the moment of filming.

Yes, that tech has been available a while now. It's known as "multitouch." Do a search for "Microsoft Surface." Good find!

The touch screen computers seem to be the way of the future besides the obvious complications they can create.
