I think we can all agree that the online multiplayer for Quantum of Solace and Blood Stone are MASSIVE let downs. Quantum of Solace was alright, considering. It didn't really feel Bondain enough though. Blood Stone was absolutely AWFUL, let's not even get into that.

What would would like to see for the online in future Bond games?

  • Large Online World - Start the online multiplayer in a Casino or MI6. Walk around to choose Free For All/Golden Gun mode, etc..
  • More Familiar Maps - Not the ones from the game itself. Maybe some classic Bond film locations. Fort Knox, Liparus, Dr. No's lair.
  • Online Co-op Missions - Like Splinter Cell Conviction and Red Dead. You play Bond and Felix, infiltrating villains lairs.
  • Classic Bond Character Skins - Not just Bond and Quantum. Jaws, Oddjob, Scaramanga, etc.. Quantum and Blood Stone were awful for that. Really generic and un-enjoyable.
  • Co-Op Campaign - Let's face it, it would bring a new aspect to the Bond world.
  • Bond Evasion/Bond Versus - Really enjoyable on Quantum. Just would benefit from being more Bondain.
  • Assassin Missions - You play Bond and MI6 members. You need to assassinate an assigned target, set by M. Quantum are after you. Stealth is the key. Think Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.
  • Car racing - One plays Bond. One plays a classic character. Race.
  • Poker/Black Jack - Like Red Dead. Play against friends to earn credits.
  • Leveling Up. Start as a field operative. Level up to become Agent, Assassin, 00-Agent. Etc.

You should look into playing Goldeneye: Source for the PC. It has all of the classic Goldeneye 64 multiplayer modes, and ones similar to other PC games such as Half-life, Counterstrike, etc. It's free but you need at least one Source based game like one of the aforementioned PC titles.

Goldeneye Wii had some great modes, as did Nightfire. Good multiplayer is definitely possible, the devs just need to put a bit more effort into it like they did with GE.

I just want some good objective based co-op. Is that bad because it's almost horribly un-Bond? I do not want some silly kill the opponent death match business. A matter of fact, I do not want multiplayer. I want a long, well-scripted, legitimate one player experience. Is that too much to ask?.......it may be.

A "Blofeld's Volcano Lair" (YOLT) level for GoldenEye: 007 would be excellent...
