Why would it not be real? This isn't 'Cinemablend' or some other bottom feeder site, Deadline is probably THE most reliable source for news like this.
Anyway, I'm intrigued by the inclusion of the previously unmentioned John Logan in the writing credits. His highlights include Gladiator and The Aviator, and his lowlights include The Time Machine and Star Trek Nemesis. But he has two Oscar nominations to his credit, so it's safe to say EON landed a relatively big fish here and continue to seek out the big talent.

So much to discuss. I never saw a John Logan film but I heard The Last Samurai was a well written film. He wrote that.
I just can't believe it and Mendes is offical!

No Team Members with main page posting abilities online. I've put it into quick news and sent an update to all CBn fans on Facebook. Best we can do right now, I'm afraid. I've also posted the link on my Book Bond website. Something this big crosses over. When is the main page article coming?

Star Trek 2, Marc Webb's Spider-Man, The Avengers, Zach Snyder's Superman, The Dark Knight Rises and James Bond Returns.
Who cares if the world ends on December 21 after all these exciting films have been released?
I do hope Bond doesn't get drowned out by all of these entries, a la Licence to Kill. But either way, we have Our Man Dan locked down for a third outing, which gives him a solid three films for us to enjoy (or five if you count Casino Royale as the equivalent of three Bond films, as I do )

No news in 007.com yet
It probably wouldn't make that much sense from a marketing perspective to put an update like that on the site, when filming is still a while off. Casual fans aren't going to get that excited yet and Eon are still probably focusing on maximising sales of GoldenEye and Blood Stone.
