Plus, literary agent reveals hopes to publish the upcoming Bond novel in 30-plus countries

Some fresh new Project X info here. Appears the manuscript is set for delivery Oct 30. First international deal is with Dutch publisher, Unieboek. Deals expected to be made for at least 30 countries before the end of this year.

Not surprising there's already an offer for the German rights. Deaver is doing very well over here and both his series and his stand-alones are amongst the market's topsellers (curiously enough, Garden Of Beasts has not yet been translated; will change in the near future, one suspects).

Ah, glad you picked up on this one, [dark]. Thought it was a good little bit of news. B)

Although Oct 30 seems awfully soon to me, considering he hasn't started yet and will be touring for another month.

Wow that soon? I guess his outline must be pretty detailed.

August, September then October to write it? Faulks did it in 6 weeks. Deaver is spending a lifetime longer on it already!

Well spotted.

I wonder how far in he is now? That is if he even started writing it.

It could be worse. I could be trolling the General Discussion forum with a lively one-person discussion on the benefits of bringing back the musical Cats to Broadway.

Just so you all know what Deaver is up to.

I think we could have gotten the manuscript sooner if he didn't spend all his time with those Smurfs.

It's when they call it "James Bond Rises" that things will go a bit weird round here.

Nice work on the main pager, [dark]. I'd actually missed that news update on the official site.
