Hiya all and best greetings from London. Yep, I'm home again (for quite a short time though ) Anyway, I'm hoping to run into Mr. Deaver and Paul on this visit and whilst I'm here am doing some 'research' for ROYAL GAMBIT. Although I am sort of working I am finding some time in the evening to go over a few things for the 'plot'. Anyway, just a quick hi to everyone and just to see what you've all been up to.

Writing Charm The Devil has roused the flame of passion to continue the Harry Fawkes Bond series, so, yeah, I can tell you that it'll be out sometime soon.

Besides, DOMINION are still around and I've got to put an end to that nasty business, not to mention put a bullet between the eyes of a certain BLACK FOX.

Exactly when it'll be out for reading, I can't say yet, but I will say this: I will ensure that it'll be more explosive, more sexy, more violent, more Bondish than all my previous works put together.

If you liked MIDASGOLD, you'll simply adore this one! So, stay tuned, gentle reader...

‘Tougher approaches for very tough situations,’ he said and sat back in his chair. ‘That is why your Division was set up in the first place way back during the cold war and which is why, in this day and age, men like yours are still given the double O numerals.’
‘Days of reckoning Prime Minister,’ he said.
‘Undeniably. However, I’ve just read your report. When did you receive the information contained in it?’
‘The first came in twenty-four hours ago from Langley, then from MOSSAD precisely three hours ago, sir.’
The Prime Minister got up and crossed to the bullet-proof windows opposite.
‘Worrying to say the least.’
‘Which is why we’ve developed this plan to try and get to the bottom of it all, sir.’
The PM turned to face him.
‘If, of course, the information contained in that report is indeed accurate. It’s rather sparse and inconclusive, M, wouldn’t you say?’
‘Yes. But I also agree with my analysts that where BLACK FOX is concerned we simply can’t take any chances. If we’re going to move Prime Minister then I’m afraid it will have to be now.’
‘Operation ‘NEMESIS’. What exactly do you require to get it off the ground?’
‘Just your signature, sir, after which everything will be given the green light.’
The Prime Minister nodded once.
‘And let slip the dogs of war once more, right?’
‘As you said, sir, tougher approaches for very tough situations.’
‘Of course. It’s a cold and cruel world we live in and it is people like you, M, people like you and your men who have to go about doing all the dirty work for the protection of this realm of ours.’
‘By any means necessary, Prime Minister.’
The Prime Minister sat back down at his desk and signed the twenty page dossier marked NEMESIS.
‘The Double O Division has total authority from this office and is answerable solely to me and me alone. You now have special powers on this one which you will use at your own discretion. Find out what BLACK FOX is up to and stop the devil once and for all. This may be our last chance, so make it count, M.’
‘Sir.’
The door behind him opened and the Aide appeared. The Prime Minister picked up his pen and returned to work as M turned and was ushered out.

Hi 007jamesbond. I apologize for taking so long to respond to your question.

How long until the first chapter, eh?

Well, first and foremost, I've decided to write the whole story in one go and finnish it all before posting chapters; which obviously means the finished 'product' won't reach CBn for a couple of months yet.

Christmas to be more precise :-)

Secondly, as it is my last Fanfic novel (fact) I have decided to post a chapter on the dot and punctually once a week during the month of December in order to keep the reader fixed onto it and avoid losing the poor soul in the delay period of writing the next chapter (as is the norm when writing in 'real time' so to speak.

I do believe it kills the excitement and one tends to lose quite a number of interested readers when posting a chapter and then taking a while to write the next one.

You see at the end of the day, R O Y A L G A M B I T is my most ambitious project and I want to go out with a bang.

As I said earlier, this is my big one.

It is going to be my grand tribute to the incredible world of James Bond and I want it to be my best shot at writing. I can safely say it is going to be full of action, violence, high adventure and very very sexy.

I am very pleased (humbly speaking) at the reception I got with my other work so I am now working hard to come up with something that'll put one hell of a capital F into the word FanFiction.

After ROYALGAMBIT, Harry Fawkes will be laid to rest once and for all and I will start a new identity on CBn.

I love change you see.

Interesting insight into your technique for writing Fan Fiction, Harry.
Personally, I always complete the full transcript before posting anything, otherwise I can't follow the arc of my narrative.
Disappointed ROYAL GAMBIT will be your finale (or should that be a coup de grace?) but I await with baited breath for the 'big bang' this Christmas.

....Bond produced his wide gunmetal cigarette case and lighter and placed them in front of him while he stared deep into Practoz’s eyes. He needed something, that sharp reaction or tell-tale sign, that would tell Bond the bastard was in league with Black Fox.
Yet, so far nothing!
‘Interesting.’ Practoz told him softly. ‘Tell me more.’
‘What can I say except that he’s the mastermind behind a failed attempt to blow up London with an Anti Proton Energy Bomb stolen from the world's largest particle physics laboratory in Geneva.’
Practoz’s laughed with a very hard edge.
‘Now that’s what I call a mouthful,’ he said, clearing his throat. ‘But where exactly do I come in?’
‘A couple of months ago I was forced to resign from the Intelligence Service,’ Bond told him. ‘Before I left I came across a file on Carter that had your name on it.’
‘And?’
‘Well, let’s just say I was told you’d pay handsomely to get your hands on that information.’
There was a long silence before Practoz spoke again. Slowly, he nodded his head.
‘I see,’ he said finally and gave a small sigh. ‘Well, Mr. Bond you have indeed managed to stimulate my curiosity with that one, which means we’re going to talk more. But not here. Not now. You’ve certainly got balls, Mr. Bond, I’ll say that for you, which is the sole reason why you are still alive. Let us suspend this tête-à-tête till tomorrow afternoon. Lunch at my villa in Chiaramonti and something tells me you already know where that is, am I right?’
Bond nodded.
No use lying.
Talk about unexpected turns, Bond thought.
A maître d' walked up to their table and Practoz ordered a Cardinale.
‘And for you, Mr. Bond?’
‘Scotch and Soda, no ice.’
The maître d’ took the other three player’s order and backed off the way he had come.
Practoz sat back in his chair and took a deep lungful of smoke and when he blew out, he looked Bond straight in the eyes.
‘Now then, the game is Chemin de Fer and the bank stands at four hundred thousand euros,’ he said. ‘The night is wearing on and I have a lot of money to lose. You’re welcome to leave of course if you can’t meet the stake. Choice is yours, my dear fellow.’
There was a very nasty dare in the striking bastard’s eyes.
Bond lit one of his Moreland Specials.
‘Well in that case, Mr. Practoz, Banco.’
‘Then let the game begin,’ Shyla Practoz told him.

Full circle at the end of things, James.
And then, from the corner of his left eye he glimpsed the dark red Daimler Jaguar appear from St Travis Street. It pulled up in front of the cobalt Jaguar and Shaw turned to greet M as he got out.
No umbrella for the Colonel, Bond observed.
Old school, no less.
Colonel Gordon Jackson walked towards Shaw and at one point turned to face Bond’s direction, as if seeing someone across the road.
James Bond’s eye narrowed slightly as he squeezed the trigger and shot M twice in the chest...
