Just a heads-up that there will be a half page advert for Charlie Higson's International Spy Museum appearance in the May 26 issue of the Washington Post.

Also starting May 26, there will be ads for By Royal Command and SilverFin GN in Marvel comics.

There will also be full page ads in the San Diego Comic Con and New York Comic Con books this year, and a full page ad in Diamond Comics Previews (not sure of date of this one -- could be out already).

Be great to see some scans if people come across these.

Today's the day to start looking for these ads.

Looks like they are really pulling out the stops with the adverts. Sounds high profile advertising.

I have the Marvel ad (will put it up on the site today) but I didn't see the Washington Post ad. Can't get the Post around here anymore. I did flip through Previews and didn't see the ad, so it was probably in the last issue.

EDIT: Marvel ad here.

I don't know. Compared to what goes on in the UK, it's still pretty darn light. But I think bringing Charlie over for a tour -- and especially school appearances -- is a very good idea.

I thought the Washington Post was quite a big deal?

It is, but print newspapers are dying and the newsstand guy was telling me the distributor who used to deliver the Post daily went out of business. You need to special order it direct from the Post.
