I thought this was an interesting/different kind of TV spot:

That was interesting. Thanks for posting that, I really have no idea how I should feel towards it. Very different.

What was the song they played? Seems almost like a jazz standard-sort of thing...

It's 'Cool' from West Side Story

Another (unfortunate) example of "the marketing folks" seeming to feel "they know better" than to use the signature James Bond theme to its full (and uniquely differentiating) effect.

Thanks for sharing this.

That song really doesn't fit well at all but I'm sure some marketing dude is patting himself on the back for putting this together. B)

Thanks for sharing.

I liked it a lot. The Bond theme is so expected that it's nice to see a departure. With David Arnold on board as composer, you know you'll get more than your fill of the theme throughout the film.

If I didn't already own the Blu-ray I'd be pumped to see QoS premiere on Showtime.

Yeah. It's such a shame we don't.

It certainly gives the film a retro feel.

lol, that was awful. And putting the text of "Get cool boy" on the screen? B) These marketing companies need to start recruiting from youtube, I seen some awesome QoS clips and mash-ups on there.

Hate it. Just clashes with the visuals, in the worst kind of way.

Just about to say so myself.

Seems the 007 theme has had its license revoked for the last couple of films.

Awful trailer, but, then, it's an awful film; so I guess it all fits.

Well, IMO, it's one of the best Bond films. Nice edits in this piece, but the music just doesn't fit IMHO.

We speak as one Daddy Bond. The music doesn't gel at all with the pace of the action.

Exhibit A as to why no one watches Showtime.

That trailer almost made me want to see QoS again. Fortunately I'm not quite that stupid.

Still it shows that it would've been perfectly possible to keep QoS' hyper violence, which today's teenbots require, yet keep some black humour for the grown ups. Ironic sex and violence is what cinematic Bond means to me.

Edit: The books are a different matter of course.

Interesting. The first 30 seconds are all blacks and whites, and focus on "cool James Bond moments". Things like shuffling a leg back inside an elevator is obvious but just seems Bondian to me.
