It wasn't right for me...because they gave it to someone else
I know. Would he have said the same thing if offered it?
Sorry but Worthington's face is not intriguing enough for Bond.

He's right. Bond is taller than that.
Yes because a Bond actor is picked based upon their height.

Odd thing for him to be saying, considering he's probably still on a short-list to replace Craig at some point. 'Wasn't right for me' would be more appropriate coming from someone like Lazenby. It's easy to say "it wasn't right for me" when it was never offered to you.
And I think he would have been hellagood at it.
Disagree. By then he will have appeared in too many high profile films. There are many other up and coming actors that will be able to replace Craig at that point in time.

I actually agree with you. I think he's a good actor and he'd be a bit different from the other Bonds we've had in the past.

I would pay good money to see extensive footage of those three final screentests.
so would i, although it will probably never happen since i feel like the only time they would have been released would have been for the casino royale special edition dvd/bluray releases.

Of all the names bandied about to replace Pierce (and there are many), I still think Ewan McGregor would've been ideal.

Nice suit shame about the shoes.
The more I look at him though he reminds me of a slightly older version of Sean Brosnan or a younger version of Liev Schreiber

He's no James Bond, is he.
Not to elongate this out anymore than necessary but no, he isn't by a long chalk.

From the films I've seen him in, I think Worthington has/would have had for CR/ what it takes to have given us an interesting Bond. Certainly not Craig, but identifiably not Brosnan, and certainly orginating in Fleming. I susepct he would also have been an easier sell in 2005, being a little more conventionally easier on the eye than Mr Craig.
Has Bond totally passed him by? Guess that depends where his career goes form here and in what position Craig leveaves the Bond franchise.
But if Worthington's the next Bond, I wouldn't object. And I genuinely suspect he thinks he'd be capable of doing it, too.

He's no Bond. Not by a long stretch. And he has yet to prove his acting chops. I'm not sure I have seen him emote once on film. He looks lovely, but tends to ruin it all with his "flaming galaar" Aussie twang...bless.
But only Bond can get publicists a story from nowhere...
