I've always wondered why there is no poll for you favourite Bond movie on the forums, as we have a poll about almost everything and I love polls , I'll just ask, what is your favourite Bond film?

OHMSS, I'm going to answer your question. I think there is no poll for "favourite" Bond film, because I think for many of us, it's a really difficult question to answer: favourites move around, depending on mood etc. For me, probably FRWL, but there are days when I think OHMSS is my favourite, and CR has now entered the conversation. WIth over twenty films, I can list two or three but trimming that list to a definitive one would be very difficult indeed......

I love them all and compared to movies of their time, they are above them all. I have to go ahead and say Goldfinger is my all time favorite. In fact I can name definite top 4

I agree. "Officially" I say my favourite Bond movie is LTK but that's mainly for nostalgic reasons, there are others I feel more tempted to pull down from the shelves (not necessarily actually doing so mind) more regularly these days, and my last viewing wasn't quite as enjoyable as my many of my previous ones were...

My fav is Spy Who Loved me - it's Bond and Beyond - and I like epic escapist fun Bond.
But it is difficult, Thunderball, CR, FRWL and OHMSS would be knocking on the door very hard.

Basically, it's like that, Yes. Also, if we started a poll, we'd be happy to get more than 50 votes, hardly representative...

The choices in the members' profiles may give an idea, but this is to be taken with a grain of salt: if you do he count on all members, the result is a bit odd. #1 and #2 are DN and FRWL, with each of them getting an amount of votes that's more than all the others combined. Could be that this is because of spammers, hit and run trolls and maybe general lazyness. I'm going to do a few variants of these statistics in the next few days, with counting only members with more than 5, 50, 250 and 1000 posts, also with members that are here for 1, 2, 5, 7 years and since the beginning, which should bring much more interesting results, so watch this space. (If one is interested in checking this out by himself, it can be easiy done when you click on 'Toggle more options' on he members' list).

Tough to pick one all time fave for me. It depends on what sort of phase I'm in. Lately I've been on a Casino Royale fix. I usually rotate between the first four films, due to nostalgia from being a kid in the 80s and vhs being the new thing. We rented Dr No quite often as well as Goldfinger. Thunderball is up there as well......because I have a Claudine Auger fixation

Overall Goldfinger remains my favorite example of Bond.

Yep, that's the problem. That's why I'm going to check out those statistics with different filters and see how the figures compare. Also, I notice that there went something wrong (me and maths... ) with the numbers for CR06 in the first statistics: it's 828 instead of 336 votes, which places the movie on #3 instead of #6...

Before I decided that a wider survey cold turn out interesting, I did the same with the filter 'members with more than 3 posts', and it looks so much different. Would you believe...
