Just imagine your typical Street Fighter game, only with James Bond characters, as well as Bond related attacks (gun shot replacing a fireball, Odjobs hat and so on), not to mention levels.
James Bond VS Dr No, with the Golden Gate Bridge in the background, or Mayday VS Jaws aboard the Drax space station.
You would start off with about eight characters, including
James Bond (Daniel Craig)
Jaws
Mayday
Dr No (especially with those hands)
Elvis (weak character, but very quick)
Wai Lin (perfect)
006 (Sean Bean)
Red Grant (he seems fit enough).
And as you progress you unlock more characters
Odjob
James Bond (each of the past actors)
Baron Samedi (ah ha ha ha ha)
Max Zorin (more power)
Stamper
Levels:
Fort knox
Golden gate bridge
Piz gloria
MI6 (outside of the building, seen from the Brosnan flicks)
Space station
Volcano
Brad whitaker's war room (imagine that, with cannons and guns going off in the background).
Imagine in multiplayer, Sean Connery against Daniel Craig!!
At least it would be different.

Get Capcom on this right now!
Imo, Atari and Namco/Namco-Bandai have consistently proven themselves to be better at developing fighters. Capcom is better suited to DMC, RE, Megaman, etc. Street Fighter is great fun, but in the scheme of fighters, the SF series is kind of pale. True, SF has become something of an icon, but I'd take a damn good fighter that's forgotten by the masses over one remembered for decades that's only so-so. Of course, though, one hopes it would achieve both massive popularity and great gameplay.

Played SFIV. Still muck around on it every now and again. Fun game, don't get me wrong, but I've never been that big a fan of the SF series *shrug* Always found more enjoyment from anime fighters and the Tekken games (granted I haven't played a Tekken game beyond Tekken 3). And MK used to be great, back in the day.

Personally why not have a bond game that has everything we fans want. Driving Fighting Gambling gorgous locations third person cover mode (I like my bond in first person thank you very much) Free running and interactive enviorment.
I'd wait 5 years easily if it meant a game that good.

i think it would be lame. i mean, james bond doesn't really translate into mortal kombat. it doesn't make a lot of sense, either.
Still, at least it would be different, rather than the same old first person shooter year after year, trying to be the next Goldeneye or Call of Duty.
I did like QOS though, and also Agent Under Fire was quite memorable.

I actually think it could.

I've always imagine that could be a great idea! A Mortal Kombat - like Bond game!
Including Fatalitys, of course.
