As for Billy Zane... I could totally see him as Blofeld.

I could see Zane playing any bad guy role. The guy is insanely underrated.

As for Vin Diesel, he'd be a more fitting henchman than a main bad guy. I don't think he's a very good actor.

Seeing Bond brutally murder XXX would also be quite a pleasure, after watching that awful movie.

The only good Blofeld suggestion I've ever heard in fandom is Michael Sheen. The first step in casting Blofeld is not to zero in on actors who are bald or who've shaved their heads (I'm kind of surprised no one's mentioned Timothy Olyphant in this thread on the back of HITMAN) - looking vaguely like Donald Pleasence or Telly Savalas is not the chief requirement for the role (besides, everyone always forgets Charles Gray's Blofeld with a full head of hair in DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER).

Please. If people are going to fantasy cast, can they "cast" their net a little wider. It always staggers me how so many people can claim to know the Bond films inside out yet clearly haven't a clue how they work (especially when it comes to their casting decisions).

When I first saw the title of the thread I immediately hoped that this was some sort of joke. Surely we can all agree that Telly Savalas, as an actor, is in a completely other category to the likes of Vin Diesel. Can't we?

Diesel needs to stay as far away from the franchise as possible. And, frankly, even trash like xXx brought him a little too close to 007 for my comfort.

I still think he's pure rubbish, he just repeat his formula ("Oh, I'm a white guy from the ghetto who's really tough, and I also make fun of celebrities") album after album. If you want really good hip hop- white- artists go and listen to The Beastie Boys.
