Anyone else notice which Sebastian Faulks book is conspicuously absent from the "Also by this author..." page of A Week in December?

Yes, he also does not sign copies of that book now. I can understand it from his side, but I can also understand it from the side of us fans. I dont think Amis was like this with his offering?

What book? Devil May Care? No, never heard of it!. But you wrote it Sebs!

In retrospect, to be fair, the only other reason I could think of is that Devil May Care was released by a different publisher to the rest of Faulks' books. I suppose this might account for the omission, even if the list doesn't state that it only includes his books from Hutchinson.

However, and there's no way we'll ever know either way, if Devil May Care was omitted from that list of books for another reason, it only cements the idea that Faulks took the job for the paycheque and not because he wanted to be part of that legacy.
