The writer for the latest James Bond Blockbuster Fanfic - BOMBSHELL - has been officialy confirmed:

It's me - Volante.

The story will be released exclusively on CBn in December 2009:

Please call back to review and comment upon the progress of the Pre-production.

BOMBSHELL rumour mill begins:
The first major rumour surrounding BOMBSHELL has been touted by a source close to the author. Speculating on a Tahiti setting.
"Extensive research on this location would be nice; probably in August"
Volante refused to comment.

What has been confirmed is that the 2nd Film Unit(Me and Mrs Volante)will be scouting for locations and characters at the British Grand Prix this week-end.
So can we expect to read about Bond flirting with the Power and Glamour of Formula1
OR will we read about the harrowing experience of 007 under canvas in a field in Northampton.

"Well bu**er me with the rough end of a Ragman's trumpet"
(as my old History Professor used to say)

Only two days after assuring everyone that it was just a BIG coincidence that my
Disgraced Banker character "Sir Francis Pinevail" disappeared at the same time as Disgraced Banker Sir Fred Goodwin left the UK.

"Fred the Shread" IS back.

One sub plot to BOMBSHELL involves Bond looking for the body of "Frank the Bank"
(WOW another massive coincidence)

BUT I can assure you (Well at least everyone who has read To Kill and Die For)
Sir Francis WAS killed in an aeroplane accident
(and didn't get a penny of his pay off)

Thanks Harry.

The release date of December seemed achievable when I started the BOMBSHELL project.

In reality holidays (sorry RESEARCH)and that old bug bear WORK will close down my creative time; and the five months to launch seem rather thin now.

Anyway I'm off to Silverstone now for some more research.

Have a good weekend

Their voices rose from a whisper on the wind to a crescendo in a storm.

They spoke of their history and of their hopes for the future.

With one voice they built a mighty empire, only to see it crumble before their eyes.

Now as the World's economy licks it's wounds like a beaten dog,
they dare to whisper again...

...and then, there is the lone voice; a man with an insane quest for power.
Willing to use any means to achieve his murderous goal.

The BOMBSHELL is about to be dropped

Are you ready?

Thank you Mr. Automan and Mr. Planet. I aim to please.
The cover was something I knocked up last night and wanted to share.

Now to answer your questions,

Firstly there is no Mr. Bombshell.

Bombshell is the title for the operation (like Thunderball)

Secondly, once I have assembled the cast of characters I will be asking Greene Planet to knock me up a Teaser poster.

Finally, the lone voice; is a man with an insane quest for power.
Willing to use any means to achieve his murderous goal.

His identity, will remain a secret - for now

The BOMBSHELL is about to be dropped

Are you ready?

Five months to launch.

The plot is established and the characters are gaining some meat to their bones.

I'm currently working on the 'evesdropping' capabily of the Royal Navy, and fasinating it is too.

Almost by accident I have cast a Micky Rourke type person into one of the roles, does anyone know of a film Mr.Rouke has done (previous to the Wrestler -but after the surgery?)that I can do some research into?

Any thoughts on the latest Book cover?

“To gamble everything is dangerous, Mr. Bond”

“But the Double 0 gives me the best odds”

“Odds can change, Mr. Bond”

“But my number remains the same”

“Then I guess you’re a dangerous man, Mr. Bond”

“Then I guess you’re right”

“I can see now you’re a double 0 man, Mr. Bond”

“Then you know why I’m here”

Thanks, I'm on a roll now.

I was pleased with the poster and tag line myself; that red wine can be quite inspiring sometimes.

Looking to encompass elements of the story in a single statement is challenging, but, hey thats what we do.

I have about 60 pages complete with a further 10 in the synopsis stage.

So, the cat is out of the bag, there is a chapter featuring a casino and roulette, and on that BOMBSHELL

The odds can change, but the number remains the same

Thanks Chris,

I've been working on BOMBSHELL for three months now.

But I'd been playing with the tagline idea for just a couple of days before coming up with

The odds can change
The number remains the same

Once the BOND 23 rummour mill gets into full swing I will update the site on the progress of the story ready for the big launch

I'd just like to say thanks for the good feedback on the Teaser poster.

I put the same piece in the Bond 23 Fan Art section (titled RISICO)
to date it has had 47 downloads compared to 9 here in the Fan Fiction, but has only attracted the same amount of feedback.

So it appears our little sub group are very close knit.

Okay, here we go: The first draft plot outline.

BOMBSHELL continues from where TO KILL AND DIE FOR finishes.

So if you haven't read TO KILL AND DIE FOR, now would be a good time.

Dateline 2008

The Russians have made their strategic withdrawal from their satellite countries, and the UK is sliding into a financial recession.

When the Royal Navy intercept a covert transmission, from the depths of the Baltic Sea, rumours gain weight inside MI6 that some high ranking Bankers and Ministers could be in the employ of the Russians.

James Bond embarks on a mission to find the body of one such banker. But he soon discovers he is not alone in his search.

As he closes in on his target, his adversaries become embroiled in a parallel plot to kill a Bio Chemist.
Bond knows not why this man's death is so vital to them, but the closer he gets to the truth, the more he sees the man as his only ally.

When Bond discovers the truth, he is propelled on a roller coaster ride to stop a disaster of biblical proportions.
As time runs out the odds against Bond get longer, until he is forced to take the ultimate gamble.

Thanks for the support.

The plot is working very well at the moment.

Obviously I don't want to give too much away at this early stage, but I think you are all gonna love this story.

More teasers when I get them

Oh yes and as a small aside, because Ford's three picture sponsership deal is now over. I'm looking for our James to be driving a new BOND CAR.

That's right there will be no Aston Martin in the new story...

....and on that Bombshell

No Aston Martin? yes its a bold move.

So, what is the new Bond car????

Please read below an extract from BOMBSHELL

The pretty blonde girl looked up from her computer screen
and eyed the well dressed man
at her counter with a new respect.
“Mr. Van de Beer?” she fluttered her eyelashes
and turned on her most seductive smile.

“Yes I am” replied Bond

“If you would like to follow me, your car is available”

“Gladly”

The harsh fluorescent lighting reflected
off the sleek curves of the gleaming Gunmetal grey bodywork;
the chrome air intake slashed along its flank
in the form of a sculptured groove
from the middle of the door
all the way to the sports mesh protecting the engine bay.
The car looked every inch a thoroughbred
and in silent insolence it demanded to be driven.

“Your, Spyker C8 Laviolette, sir” She dropped the keys into his hand.
They were warm.

Bond squeezed into the tobacco grey leather interior
and squinted at the aluminium chronoswiss dashboard,
he pressed the starter and the boom of the 4200cc V8
took away any thoughts that the car was ostentatious.

Bond caressed the leather trimmed steering wheel with his palms
and marvelled at the mock propeller spokes that attached it to the column.
The engine roared like thunder in the mountains;
and Bond tamed its savage power and eased the car out into a dull Czech winter morning.

...and on that BOMBSHELL

I had to look up the word ostentatious then I agreed
the Spyker is a worthy Bond car

I surfed some U Tube footage of the beast and I can really see Bond in the Spyker they are ace.
another clue to the story I see Bond is in Czech Rep !!!
