I am pleased to announce my latest offering.

TO KILL AND DIE FOR

Will soon be ready for submission.
It's been sometime since my last effort, and I feel that by advertising the new story I will be forced to get a move on and finish it.

Here's the synopsis...

A bitter Kremlin power struggle endangers Europe's oil and gas supplies.

After an attempt on his life, former KGB spy master
Vladimir Chenko turns to MI6 for protection.

M knows she must send her best agent to eliminate the killer hell bent on fulfilling his contract.
Failure now could lengthen the shadow of war across the globe

Old friends; new enemies and a sadistic killer make this mission the toughest yet for 007

In Ornella, James Bond discovers a resolve to trust and lie for.
In Stasi, he finds the trail of death and destruction as a just cause to kill or die for.

I have attached a mock up of the "book" cover...
...and if you can identify the waterfall, you will be well on the way to discovering the location of Bond's mission.

No offense, but you should ask someone else to do the cover.

That's actually very nice. Gives off a Live & Let Die feel. But the "007" logo doesn't look very well placed. Would you min telling me some of the actors who you'd like to be in the poster.

To KILL and DIE for.

Getting inside the main Characters.

The story takes place in 2008, so I have taken
Daniel Craig as my model for 007.

I have tried to use locations that are recognised for their cutting edge architecture in keeping with the modern story.
I have mixed these new engineered locations with places with outstanding features of natural beauty.

I have attempted to match this theme with my characters. I have visulised them as below.

Phillip Seymour Hoffman. The villain of the piece is Oliver Kassian. A man bang up to date with technology, he has no problem in mixing genuine business ventures with illegal activities. He will use any means at his disposal to reach his goals. He has no feeling or empathy with the general public.
I have based this character on Hoffman’s portrayal of Owen Davian from Mission Impossible 3.
Kassin (a shortening of the name Kassianides – the actor that played Vesper’s boyfriend in QOS) is a murderous drugs baron hell bent on exacting revenge on those that dare to challenge his position.

Jessica Biel. The Bond girl is Ornella (I wanted my character to have the natural beauty of the actress Ornella Muti who played Princess Aura in the 80’s film Flash Gordon – check her out on U Tube), and as per the 2nd mock cover I have chosen Jessica Biel.
Her acting roles include the Illusionist, but check out her on U Tube to see her full potential.

Wes Bentley. Working for Kassian is the sadistic ex KGB agent known as Stasi. A killer, without the fear of consequence. A man with total contempt for human suffering. I have tried to portray him in the genre of Francis Dolarhyde (The Tooth fairy played by Ralph Fiennes in the film Red Dragon). But I felt that Stasi needed to be younger than Ralph and as the character needs to be anonymous, I wanted someone not too well known. In whatever disguise Stasi chooses, witnesses always comment upon his eyes, not the colour but how they seem to convey the essence of evil. I have therefore based the character on Wes Bentley (the boy next door in American Beauty) feeling that he conveys the look of a killer (see the P2 trailer on U Tube)

Ali Larter. Secondary Bond girl Daisy Sinclair (a return appearance from Silhouettes and Shadows) is in the style of Ali Later (currently to be seen in TV’s Heroes)

According to Bond 23 rumours, New York will be a setting and Freida Pinto (Slumbdog Millionaire) will be in the movie. Therefore I have included both these rumours into my story.

To Kill and Die for begins in Dubai.
Bond then sees action in Mexico and New York.
Secondary action takes place in Valencia, Dresden, Cheltenham and Bristol.
All the protagonists come together in “The place where the waterfall is” and the conclusion occurs in Astana the futuristic capital city of Kazakhstan.

Good teaser.
The title is wrong, and I only mentioned Simon as an explanation of my villain's name, and I really would like to see more of Jessica Biel on the poster.
But
What I did like was the White and Red lettering, can that theme be carried thru to the title?
I loved the double O inference in the title graphic.

Happy Easter.

Chapter One and Chapter Two are now line

Here's a teaser

Chapter One.

Brisance

She cut through the water at almost 12 knots.
Her sleek design honed by 101 years of history.
The ‘Prestige and Glory’ was an 80 foot J /133 series racing yacht, her brilliant white hull cut through the waves like an arrow, she was narrow in the beam with a huge sail area which allowed her to reach and maintain speeds in excess of 15 knots.

Chapter Two

Ushanka

Graves looked up from his notes “Russia once described you as a trained hit-man”

“There is no training to become a hit-man, you either have the ability to kill or not. If you are prepared to kill for money, someone is always prepared to hire you. I have no regrets” Chenko sat back in his chair proud to defend his role in the Soviet-era intelligence service.

Chapter Three - Shelby
and
Chapter Four - Campeche

Will be on line Monday 13th April

Heres a teaser.

Chapter Three - Shelby.

Bond broke cover, the movement was picked up by the dog, and it accelerated forward.
Stepping from the darkness the guard caught Bond unaware and they bounced off each other, but Bond recovered quicker, and was on his feet as the other man began rising to his knees, Bond kicked him in the face and he slumped back down against the wall. He could hear the dog panting behind him, it thudded over the gravel like a race horse, and Bond searched the darkness for his way out.

Chapter Four - Campeche.

Kassian was not a fan of bright sun light. Once the entourage was in the room he shrugged off his suit jacket and loosened his tie. He sat opposite the flat screen TV and licked his lips “Show me the footage” His accent was mid American but his voice was deep and strong it was in contrast to his appearance. Kassian was a little less than six feet tall but his bulk led people to believe he was overweight, his fair hair and pale completion, gave the false message that he was a soft and gentle man. Big mistake.

Teaser for Chapters 5 and 6

Chapter 5 - Aftermath.

The girl was completely naked. Her body was in the condition of a trained athlete. Bond put her in her mid twenties, her narrow waist drew him in to her superbly sculptured belly. This was a girl of extreme strength. Her face was obscured beneath a towel, and her finely muscled arms were above her head busily drying her hair; the position raised and framed her small perfect breasts. With a quick flick, the towel turban was in place and she looked up and saw Bond. Her scream was short but very shrill. Without shame or fear she turned and went back into the bathroom. The door closed firmly behind her
From within she spoke for the first time “What do you want?”
The accent was not as thick as he had expected.
Bond was fixed to the spot, his eyes had not wavered from the space she had occupied

“Sorry they told me you were out”

“They lied. Just who the hell are you?” her tone was firm and proud and confirmed just how unattainable she was.

Chapter Six - Shahidka

Ornella ran her finger around the rim of her coffee cup as she spoke “I was a teacher, its all I ever wanted to do since being a child” she stopped talking.
Bond looked at her, she was crying silently, the tears that ran down her face were not fake or contrived, and instinctively Bond knew he should trust her.

Teaser for Chapter Seven - Stillicide

Ornella felt the dead weight pulling her toward the abyss, her feet slipped and began to slither forward. In a hail of bullets Bond dived toward the edge in a desperate attempt to catch her before she fell into the waterfall.

Teaser for Chapter Eight - Vince.

Bond lent close to her ear
“Monypenny, you are the best”

She looked up at him
“In ways you’ve yet to know, James”

Teaser for Chapter Nine - Astana

James Bond dropped through the inspection hatch landing lightly on his feet; he scanned the room before him.
Without taking his eyes off the door he un-slung the canvas bag from his shoulder and opened it, pulling out a suppressed MP5 Heckler and Koch machine pistol.

Bond held the gun aloft and set off to find Kassian.

The final Chapter. Chapter Eleven - Zaia.

I hope you have enjoyed the story.
Please leave some feedback, when you can.

The final piece of action takes place in...

...Now that would be giving it away.

Its the fourth largest building in the World.
It has gondola's on a canal, but its not Venice.

Bond finds the true meaning of the word Zaia; and uses his 00 licence in the ultimate gamble.
