It's great to hear that he's willing to return to the franchise. He's the best actor to ever portray Leiter and is certainly one of the best actors to be cast in any role in the franchise, so I'm always willing to see him return to the franchise.

I'm disappointed that I'm not getting the Bond/Leiter love scene that the tabloids promised me would be in 22. Forster must've cut it to get the movie under 2 hours. :(

Jeffrey Wright is awesome. If there's a place for Leiter in 23, I'm all for him coming back.

He can stay, but I hope they give him some decent material to work with next.

Frankly speaking, you can't build a character around a single facial expression like they did in QOS.

*uncomfortable, but still cool*

Yes. Now to write him a bigger part for the next film. I do love the continuation of these last two films. But he definitely needs a bigger role. They should expand it.

I would love it if they really developed this relationship in the next film. I want a Bond/Leiter action scene, where they have to work together to fight their way out of a situation.

Jeffrey is Wright on the mark for my money. :)

An effortless actor, who knows precisely how to react even when he has no dialogue.

He's one of the coolest casting in the Craig era. :(

I really dig Jeffrey Wright.

I can remember being concerned about a black Felix Leiter, because I felt like it was just a marketing ploy. But when I found out it was Wright I was willing to give him a chance and he has made the role so cool. I hope we see a lot more of him. I was disappointed he didn't have a larger role in QOS.

Good that he is willing to reprise his role. I hope he turns up in 23, and for the remainder of Craig's films.

Wright is easily my favourite actor to play Leiter and he has great chemistry with Craig...I very much hope to see him return.

Excellent news. :(

Wright is brilliant. I know this is a but late to say, but I LOVE how they're sticking with one Leiter, instead of one for every other movie.

I agree.

I read back in the 1980s that the reason they replaced the actor every movie was to ensure that Leiter not overshadow James Bond. As a result I was surprised, but happy, to see Hedison return in Licence to Kill.

I am so glad to see that Wright wants to return for another bond movie. I see him as the best Felix Leiter so far.

To be fair, they pretty much ensured a lack of overshadowing by casting (mostly) forgettable actors and having the character in less than half the movies!

This does throw up a good point, though. Eon like Wright, Wright likes the gig, and audiences are really warming to Leiter. It all seems perfect...but Wright's a bigger star than some, he's in demand, and is in a position to ask for a larger fee with each film. Always for what is, essentially, a small role.

Of course you hope that every agent and manager and producer is reasonable and sensible. But this is a business as well as an art and people can get silly. (The recent kerfuffle over recasting in Iron Man is a case in point.) I can imagine a worst-case scenario very easily.

Still, we have no reason to worry right now, and I love him in this part; a great actor anyway, and a very neatly handled version of the role. Hopefully there's room for a slightly expanded part in Bond 23.
