Maybe so - but Peter Hunt specified a midget.
I defer to Billy Barty on these matters. I think Barty would say Norman McGlen was a dwarf.

Norman McGlen. Whereabouts unknown. McGlen appeared in the 1969 James Bond film On Her Majesty's Secret Service as a janitor, and can be heard whistling the theme tune to Goldfinger as Bond walks past him. After Wonka, he appeared in an episode of Dennis Potter's Casanova on BBC2, and Pier Paolo Pasolini's I Racconti di Canterbury in 1972. His last credited role was as Medusa, an alien with mind-sapping powers, in the science fiction series The Tomorrow People.

He should come back and have his own action figure.
Could be his own action figure.
(Was that cruel? Ah, stuff it).

But Jim has turned my unpolished nugget into comedy GOLD. (Cue midget janitor whistling Goldfinger.)

Yes. If he's not in 23, I won't be watching it.
I agree. I think I'll start bring_back_the_midget_please_EON.com

I'm sure it's not a tall order, but I need to watch it again to check this out.
However. He should be brought back if he's still alive. We're talking about a movie made 40 years ago next year.
This is ironic. The school my son attends offered me a position as a Janitor/Cleaner. I have taken it, and I start in a couple of weeks.
DNS. You have incredible insight, my friend.

How would a Midget janitor fit into the series anyhow? He was in OHMSS for comedic value only. No need to bring him back.
This is a parody thread prompted by another thread that was started here recently, can't recall what it was offhand, but parody threads suddenly seem to be the new thing here on CBn.

Thanks Loomy. It was the Quarrel thread that prompted this. I tried to think of something even more ridiculous. Odd which film I chose from, eh?

It could be the 'Macbeth', or as they say in the 'business' "the unmentionable" thread that I'm not a liberty to mention. How would a Midget janitor fit into the series anyhow? He was in OHMSS for comedic value only. No need to bring him back.

Or was it my chat with the school's Head Teacher and Caretaker today. But how the hell did the sometimes brilliant DNS know about this?. Was he at the interview?. Did he sign my 'Enhanced Disclosure' form (anyone who works for a UK school has to apply for one) or is he masterfully jerking our chains?.
I'm sure he'll reveal (as long as it isn't himself) soon.
Cheers,
Ian (the Janitor). Oh the pain.

Yep, that's the one.

Yes, a stunning surprise.
(Any anecdotes about the actor who played the janitor, BTW? I'm assuming you know who he is/was. Have you met/spoken to him? Does he go to fan conventions?)
I actually like these parody threads, but you mods must know that you're basically inviting everyone to infest the boards with them. (Next up: "Would you like to see a series of Sir James Molony novels?" "How do I get Jesper Christensen's physique?" "What piece of music aren't you listening to?" "Were Wint and Kidd gay?" Etc.)

I would assume because of the racial slur.
I see. And i'll be careful here: So, it's ok to make fun of people who, because of a quirk of nature/their DNA, did not reach 'normal' height, but when one of us jokingly (*JOKINGLY*) makes a remark about the colour/color of a pigmy, then it has to be wiped away from the thread?
I'm not a racist, for heavens sake! Jim and I have had some wonderfully entertaining tete-a-tetes over the last 6 years and NOT ONCE has there been a hint of racism in any of my posts to him or any other Black/Afro-Caribbean/African-American/African member of CommanderBond.net.
What did you intend to come of this thread?
And kindly don't tell me that you didn't expect a response from me. This 'place' is "yours" and I WILL abide by your rules because I don't relish the idea of being banned or thrown off here for the fourth time since 2004/5.
But i'd like to know why there's a double standard here...and is the six letter word that starts with the letter D and rhymes with "sparky" really a "racial slur" in the context of the first 10 odd posts of this thread?
You may wipe this post out if you wish as well...in which case i'll humbly take my leave of it and "behave" accordingly because of my comment in the forth 'paragraph' of this post.

Hey, a literary Felix Leiter spin-off is a great idea*!I actually like these parody threads, but you mods must know that you're basically inviting everyone to infest the boards with them. (Next up: "Would you like to see a series of Sir James Molony novels?"...
*I may be biased though.

I propose that a thread be created to judge the merits of whether or not the bespectacled Canadian chess player featured in From Russia With Love should return. Still hasn't won a grandmaster championship after 45 years.
