I was just wondering . . . . What exactly happened in the infamous lawsuit between EON and Sony and is there any lingering bad blood? It does not seem so but this would be the place to ask this question. Thanks.

If you're referring to the infamous '97 debacle, I believe there is a link around here somewhere. I'll dig around a bit and see if I can locate it.

If anyone else has the time, post the link here if I don't first.

In short:
- Kevin McClory made a deal with Sony.
- McClory/Sony sued MGM. They wanted money from previous Bondfilms and the right to produce new ones (based on the TB-script).
- MGM sued McClory/Sony for copyright infringements.
- Sony ignored McClory and made a deal with MGM. Spider-Man rights traded for Bond-rights.
- Kevin McClory upset again...

I didn't realize it was McClory again! Could he have made more Bond films? Or was he just limited to the TB outline ala NSNA?

Limited to the Thunderball outline which is probably why he didn't end up making Warhead 2000 or whatever he wanted to call it. How many Thunderball remakes does the world need?
