I faintly remember having seen a few episodes of this, a bit SCARECROW & MRS KING, a bit HART TO HART. Nice unpretentious fluff.

I remember watching this! The shapely, stocking-encased leg with the Gerber knife shown in the intro made quite an impression.

I remember the pilot, and one other episode in particular where Lavender took a team to Rio (cue the stock footage). With no reservations, they camp on the grounds of the US embassy - during Carnival, of course. At a costume party it looked for sure that Lavender had been taken out, only to appear again in the nick of time. "It's true," the turncoat says, "You are the best."
I also remember the end of one where everything went wrong and the target was escaping down a beach to a waiting boat. Lavender just hauls out a 30.30 and shoots him from his hotel balcony. No messin' with The Liquidator!
