I think it's a great choice. It's the Young Bond equivalent to OHMSS, and I think the book is going to be as well. Perfect title for this final book.

Very nice. Kind of sets up Young Bond's entrance into the Royal Navy and, later, MI6.

It's the first YB title that could easily be an adult Bond novel title. I could imagine the Faulks novel with this title. A very nice journey from SilverFin to this.

Maybe a mod can add a yah or nay poll to this? :tup:

I like it but I feel that the excitement is subdued mainly because we Americans have yet to see Book 3 at our bookstores. In other words, the series is complete and I am still playing catch-up.

Bizarrely enough, this is exactly the same title I was going to give to my entry for the CBn Centenary Short Story Collection, that I never got round to writing.

It wasn't what I was expecting, but I'm sure it will grow on me. Sounds rather grand and quite Fleming indeed. If this book is the YB equivalent of OHMSS, I am going to love it.

I like the sound of this - "forced to go on the run, pursued by enemy agents and the British authorities. James must choose between friendship and duty. His life will never be the same again."

I really liked 'The Shadow War' and recently the other un-used working titles for YB5. But, I think 'By Royal Command' is probably the best of the lot.

Personally, I prefer The Shadow War. I really liked that title. However, of the other known alternative names, By Royal Command is definitely better than those.

As for the poll, I'm more like it than love it, but if my choices are only love and not amused then I guess I'll go for the positive one.
