Maybe I just missed it, but maybe someplace that lists how many posts you need to make on the forums before attaining the various military ranks?

Do you have a list of the possible CBn groups like the crew, veterans, commanding officers, etc.

Just a quick question. Why is there two "commanding officers" and "veterans reserve" in the members list?

Because the veterans reserve exists in case we want to engage in military action against other forums.

By the way, just curious what defines the "Veterans" group? I see I belong to it, but I subscribed less than 1 year ago. Er... Does it mean I'm... old?

Even if that was the case, I don't really think we will ever need to start a war between other forum sites. Hey aren't we peace-makers or what?

We wouldn't want a war between the Bond fansites especially because you're a member of 4 other ones. Talk about a conflict of interest.

Yeah, but even though I'm a member at some of the other Bond forums, this is the only one that I really post on. The other ones don't have the "flair" that CBn does :)

Maybe, as long as you all don't chase me away after 4 years. :(

Forum members shouldn't "lose interest" or feel the need to post more simply to attain a higher rank.

It's the discussion that is important, not the fact that this person is a "Sub-Lieutenant" and that person is a "Commander", etc.

Colourful though that may be, we're not in Brazil.

Well, we may not be in brazil, but the admiral group icon from CBn looks exactly alike with the British admiral symbol

CommanderBond.net is based in the United Kingdom and James Bond was in the Royal Navy hence the British Admiralty symbol.

Just a quick question for the Moderators, probably doesn't belong with this topic, but has a link with the forums. You know how we have agent numbers? How were they assigned to us CBners. I know it's not by order of registers, because currently we don't have 11,047 members.

Please forgive my intrusion. I'm not speaking on behalf of the moderators. But I think the answer to your question is that this feature is from our vBulletin days.

I cannot see a way to give a member a random user id number in recent IP.B releases. However. I'm certain that the 'Today's Posts' is also a feature of vBulletin.

When converting from one forum software to the next some features from the latter software remains intact.

I maybe wrong. The admins here may have added these features themselves, but it would take a good knowledge of php to be able to do this, which they have.

Maybe a mod or admin should answer this.

[mra]At this point the numbers are assigned by registrations, but there are scores that register but never answer the confirmation emails. Those that don
