Hum... I can't wait to play a video game with Daniel Craig's Bond. It's nice to see that Activision is really going to put some thought and effort into the games, and not just crank them out the way EA seemed to do.

It seems like the Bond 22 game is a sure bet, but I'm very excited to see what game #2 will be.

It would be sweet if Game #1 was Casino Royale and Game#2 was Bond 22.

I told you guys earlier.. that I thought they were working on a 2nd game already. Around July I even asked a couple people about it specifically and they didn't answer, which typically means they don't know or they don't want to answer.

That would be nice :D
I wonder if they would make a game basedo Roger Moore's Bond. Maybe say one of his funest adventure as bond. wonder which one it is the funniest one Moore's was?

TSWLM would make a fantastic game. Think about the possibilities. A ski chase. Gunbattle and fights in Egypt. Racing the Lotus. The fortress. The sub eating supertanker. The jet bike. Fight on the train. Fight with Jaws in the desert.

I dunno, I can't imagine them doing a retro Bond game with Moore, I think that idea died with the FRWL game. I'm going to hazard a guess that the 'other' game they're working on is a stand-alone modern game like EON. Although who knows, since they specifically mention Goldeneye, maybe they're going to do an FPS. Being a Halo fan, Craig might like that :D

What lets all asume that already their going to work on Bond 22 as a game.
What if they remade Goldeneye or updated it as a online game with sweet graphics!!
the only thing is that how would it be because Brosnan isn't bond anymore, but then again Connery came and did the voice as bond in FRWL.
what do u think the two games are?

This is brilliant. It has been too long between drinks with the Bond games, and now we have two in the pipeline. Activision seem to be taking this more seriously than EA.

I would like the course of action to be Bond 22, and then perhaps an entirely original Craig game or based on Casino Royale, or a game based off a classic Bond movie.

Generally speaking, I think writing material specifically for the games is better than trying too hard to base them on the movies. It's not impossible to base them on movies (I gather that Goldeney was a pretty good game) - but it seems to me that the focus could be better on using the character of James Bond and create the game around him.

Why not do a GTA / Gun style game (e.g. more free flowing with mini missions) for Bond?

Great news!

Now if the games turn out to be Casino Royale and Bond 22, then 2008 will be a better year for Bond than it already is set to be. :D

Great question - something like this would be interesting. Hopefully Activision will try to fix what EA seems to have squandered needlessly. It's hard to believe that Goldeneye for the N64 seems to have set a bar so high that almost everything since then has been living in it's shadow. Looking back, the graphics on that game were ok, soundtrack was ok, etc, but I still find it fun to play which I can't really say for any game since then (except maybe EON). For the new game, a good online multiplayer mode is a must.

Indeed, this is a fantastic idea. I enjoyed playing GUN immensely as it was a beautifully constructed game. There was a great deal of freedom in the gameplay, a nicely sized world to explore, and plenty of entertaining mini-missions. A James Bond game with a similar set-up would be brilliant. For me, games with a strict mission structure--as all previous Bond games have been--have a lesser replay value. I'd love to play a 007 game staring Daniel Craig with an RPG element.

That would be unbelievable.
I loved the RPG element with FRWL, using the costume selector. Imagine equipping Craig in all the costumes he has worn for far, eg. the Madagascar shirt, etc.

They certainly better be following their comments that neglect was one of the prime reasons the later Bond games never really shined at EA.

Yea I Agree. I hope tho that the games ain't futurlistic, were bond has all these gagets. I didn't like that in the games only in Nightfire, but that was the Other Series. I want it to be like Casino Royale but have the games in third person.

Yeah it could happen, and it might be interesting. You could have Bond do missions for different people/groups, you'd have the regular MI6 main storyline, and side missions with people like Valentin Zukovsky, Felix Leiter, Tiger Tanaka, etc. Activision's Spider-Man 3 was another one of these open-ended games, with all of Manhattan open to explore, so they are known for doing this style of game

I completely agree.

There should be only the story set at the beginning, and then the game should let you, the gamer choose your own direction. Follow leads, do country hopping in the order you select.Go back to location's you've been before when you find a new lead/ get a new contact etc. Don't have a huge world like GTA, but large areas in different locations. With all the freeroaming and rpg elements added of course.

That would be Fan-frikkin-tastic ! :D

Yep, as in I know - and the info is in the above link! :D

This was back when it was thought to be only one game in development, but a PC version is forthcoming.

No screenshots or any real info as yet, but keep watching CBn - we'll bring you the news as soon as it's available!

It would be great if it was first person, and if the multiplayer had some classic levels and charactors from past bond games.

I've always wished that someone would create a shooter where you could switch from 1st person to 3rd person with the touch of a button. Most good gamers could adjust to the necessary control changes mid-game with no problem IMHO. You could play the entire game as a 1st person shooter. You could play the entire game as a 3rd person shooter. *OR* you could switch mid-stream, even in the middle of a gun fight if you so choose.

I also hope that with any Bond video game with Craig that they keep the intelligence high (it would be great to have to do some real investigating and not *JUST* shooting) PLEASE keep the driving to a minimum. I don't know if I have ever been pleased with the driving portions of the Bond video games. I also hope they stay away from too much *romance*. It's really irritating watching your video game character smooching on some other video game character.

I believe there are plenty of games where you can switch between first and third... can't say I'm thinking of any at this moment - but I've played some.

It's becoming more common as "cover systems" become more popular. Rainbow Six: Vegas is a good example. This is actually what I'm expecting Bond 22 to be like. I'm fairly confident, looking over some of the technical stuff I've seen that this game is mainly a first-person shooter.

I think I know what the second game is and who is developing it too, but I'm waiting to hear back from certain people on the matter.

I will agree that I much prefer to play third-person shooters as opposed to first-person. One of my all time favorite console games was SOCOM (PS2) mainly for that reason. To me third-person shooters give a wider view of the environment you're playing in.

QoS can't be a game in FPS , For one reason :bond need to be free Higher in third person shooter Even more than EON game .
