I just got through re-reading Moonraker after several years of it sitting on my shelf. I was so blown away by it. Written in 1954 and released the following year, it was very topical. Why, oh God, why, did they release a movie in 1979 and call it Moonraker? Why not call it The Saint Goes To The Moon or something. It wasn't much of a James Bond movie, and it was bloody awful, to put it mildly. For fans of the book, go check out the Die Another Day threads and be happy.
