raymond benson did a great job for a man who had no previous experience writing. the one problem i had with him was the fact that he seemed to erased everything, but a few memories of what gardner brought to the series. i loved gardner and that bias doesn't drive me to critize benson. i just got used to gardner adding more layers to bond that fleming and amis left behind. i really loved and missed q'ute because i thought she took the bond-moneypenny relationship of the movies to the books in a higher level while he tried to pursue her. benson did give more details of bond's life, but he seemed to omit gardner's contribution unless bond remembered all of the women he had known before. one thing i did like about gardner and i think we need to bring it back is the snippets of memories that would be triggered by small and insignificant things such as a quiet train ride or a product. i do got to hand it to benson for closing the book on the mystery of bond's son james suzuki and trying to reunite bond with playboy like fleming did in the past. i also loved the union trilogy and the great plotline from doubleshot. i think eon should used them as the organization behind the events of casino royale. i just want to know that no author is going to be disrespected by the next one for whatever reason because if i was a writer and was given such a task, i would be honored and hunbled at the same time.

Dear Next Bond Author,
Please ignore all other requests and take Bond back to the 60's. I would recommend some "in-between" mission as the Moneypenny Diaries are currently doing. Also, please PLEASE bring back a male M.. it just worked.
Love,
Bond_girl_double07
p.s. me as a character? think about it, could be classic..

[mra]Dear next Bond author,
Enclosed is my outline for
Please do not listen to the fans too much. You see each of us wants something different and if you try to please all of us you will end with a mediocre mess that will please fewer fans than if you just did your own thing. While I

Dear Editors of the next Bond novel,
here's a suggestion that would please all Bond fans. I'm sure that it is not too hard to come by a bit of Ian Flemings DNA - you know, a toothbrush, a lock of hair... or a little gravedigging. As cloning is advanced enough I suggest to resurrect the Man himself. Then he could finally revise The Man With A Golden Gun and tell us how he intended to turn it into a masterpiece. AND write more Bond novels that would hopefully be set in the sixties.

Fact is, request all we want he still has to write the book that'll please him. Will he take elements from the post Ian authers ... who knows? All I can say is, too many cooks spoil the pot.
