US edition of 'The Moneypenny Diaries: Guardian Angel' to be released 13 May 2008

Pre-order online at amazon.com

Hardback edition of Samantha Weinberg's 'Guardian Angel' released today

I have looked around everywhere and I can't find the Moneypenny diaries anywhere in the U.S. Are they even coming out in the U.S? If they are, please point me in the direction of where to find them.

Nope, they're not out in the U.S. Have no idea when or if they will be released here.

At this point they might as well group the 3 books and 2 short stories then release them as "The Moneypenny Diaries" in the states as an omnibus. I wouldn't count out this possibility if they're ever released here.

It'd certainly be niced to see those short stories collected together.

If you ask me, it's not really fair that it's only released in the UK. I mean there are Bond fans in America too! And it stinks that there's only one copy available on eBay, but no one's placed a bid on it.

Amazon amazon! There was only one copy (Hard back of gardian angel) for 8 $$ and shiped from within the US. Lucky I was :cooltongue:

They're not out in the US? Oh well. Amazon Uk would have them. I'm actually interested in at least picking up one of these. Interesting idea and all. And a period series as I understand. Set after YOLT?

Are these books worth reading?

Yeah, I noticed you can't find them on shelves over here. Never really cared that much about Moneypenny to go putting my time into seeking them out though. I find that many book stores don't get the Young Bond books when they say they should hit shelves. There's a Barnes and Noble near where I work that's had a copy of the first book on their shelf since it first came out and still not sold.

Yep. Very much so.

They're amongst the best of the continuation novels, in my opinion.

Without a doubt. Both are very gripping right from the start.

I like it. Very slick. Love the red. It's gonna look sweet on the shelf beside the US DMC.

The US cover is pretty disappointing. It looks like any anonymous chick lit cover you'd see.

Yes disappointing. I prefer the UK cover, it's pretty nice with a 60s touch.

BTW, the art on Amazon is not final. The final cover will feature the tagline: "The Secret Adventures of James Bond's Right Hand Woman."

I've seen this cover in high res and it's a beauty. The Amazon art is very very fuzzy. In high res, all is in sharp focus, including the London skyline and the Thames.

Hurray!

I have my copy and it's a beauty. Gonna look great next to DMC.

(For the record, the book is not subtitled Guardian Angel in the U.S. It's just The Moneypenny Diaries).
