Why do we have to have these two black bars down the side of the screen? can't we fill the whole screen?

I think it is something to do with the screen res. (may not, if I recall MI6 added margins to their main page and they appeared in all screen resolutions. I like margins however, so I like them here and there)

I can't say I'll get the opportunity to truly appreciate the new changes, I use the lighter theme as I can't stand the black background. The red however does not clash as badly as the blue. (Just my opinion)

I love the look of the site - it's always been great and is now even greater.

I do want to take the opportunity, as a professional skiver, and request that the super talented powers behind the forums bear in mind the possibility of a white backround, low graphics, simple black text version that doesn't look quite so non-work related.

Can any1 from this site tell me why there are margins and can I do anything to get rid of them? why waste that space?

I had a rude message from one of the staff which I posted here and see they have removed it!

They still will not tell any of us why the need for the black bars?

Gotta love the black background, grey is so generic and boring.

It is light grey.

And I prefer something bright on the page that isn't the text :)

You could always create your own custom stylesheet if your browser supports it. Then you can view the CBn forums anyway you want - in pink if you feel like it.

But I'll tell you now, these stylesheets aren't a 5 minute job.

I think Evan's done a great job on it for those who prefer dark on light.

I myself love the Dark side better :)

It all looks great! I guess there is no chance of an ultralight version as well? Something that looks a bit more like work :)

You could always go with the Lo-Fi version of the forums:

Lo-fi is a bit hard to browse with... but never mind. I haven't been sacked yet.... although I don't understand why...

Thanks for all the hard work guys - the site is great and looks even better!

I completely forgot to mention how great the site now looks. The change in colour scheme to red and black (with a touch of charcoal) is more visually appealing. Most of all, however, the 'watermarks' are a wonderful addition which really lends an added professionalism to the site and contributes to an altogether more attractive page

Yeah, but red and silver do NOT match well.

Now I have to use the black theme :) :P
