The World is not Enough. I haven't seen this film in ages. Hopefully it'll be on the Spike Christmas Marathon. Still need some more money for the Ultimate Edition DVDs.

Think I'd like a bit of ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE. Some nice Christmassy scenery!

For Your Eyes Only.

I'll probably watch it tomorrow. It will be my first time watching it as the Ultimate Edition so I'm debating on whether or not I'll listen to Sir Roger's audio commentary or the newly remastered audio track.

The Man With The Golden Gun

I really want to like the film - the opening half is excellent. Minus a few scenes we all know about the film would of been Roger's best for sure!

OP and TND -- the only two films I haven't glanced at in my UE collection just yet. I won't be watching the entire films, just checking the DVDs out to make sure there is nothing wrong with them.

We were just doing a science experiment in cubscouts on atmospheric and water pressure simulating a diving bell. Made me think of the underwater doors on the Disco Volante. So I'm in the mood for Thunderball

Welll, I finally bought TSWLM soundtrack, so that's one; the other would be DN because sometimes I just crave Bond at his simplest, pre-Spy Craze 007. To me, DN feels almost like a 1950s-era film.

Good point, yes, sometimes I get into a Dr No mood, myself. But today, I would like to see Casino Royale again.

Going over this film again on DVD this also struck me how far away it seems from what came later. It seems as much a hard-boiled detective story as it does a spy film.

Bond questions and interrogates people; when he overcomes Pusfeller and Quarrel, he tells them to get up and put their hands against the wall; Honey asks him if he's going to arrest Dr. No; and there's probably a few others I'm missing.

Exactly. Bond does kind of come across like an English version of Mickey Spillane's Mike Hammer in his first film. I think that's why Broccoli and Saltzman picked it for the first Bond film. They thought of all Fleming's novels, it would appeal the most to American audiences for that reason.

Anyway, I have The Spy Who Loved Me on in the background right now. He's just arrived at Sheik Hosein's tent.

Ok... I've been saying I've been in the mood for my new OHMSS UE for a week now and it still hasn't been delivered to my doorstep. At this point, I'll take any one of the films I have coming in volume 2 or 3.

After having Paul McCartney's Live and Let Die blaring to the point of stripping the walls of paint, I feel like watching the film. I am in the mood for some fun, light hearted entertainment.

Well, I have cycles in which I watch them all in order (the best way to see them all an equal amount of times and I love them all so it doesn't bother me). For example, I may watch them all within a few weeks, and then not watch them again for another few months. Then, after, say, five months, I'll start the cycle again and see them all within a few weeks. I've been doing this for at least two or three years and it's always worked out pretty well.
