A card set and a poker set will be released for the movie opening.

I think Carta Mundi ahs done a pretty good job with the previous Bond cards, so I'm looking forward to these items.

That's one tie-in I might actually buy (or put on my Xmas list) - I'm quite keen on poker since I got hooked on watching it on TV. Texas Holdem is a very clever game (and a great replacement for Baccarat).

I don't even play cards and I'd buy one.

Heck, if I bought a set, I might be bothered to learn something other than blackjack!

Not surprising really. Carta Mundi's sister company (AG Muller?) provided the famous tarot cards in LALD. The association with Eon has been in place for a while now.

Thanks for that, Abdel. I was pleased with myself - I could actually understand the original French.

Cool about the special cards. /wants

Looks like a neat collectors set. Its hard judging from the pictures but the chips look like plastic.

I'm sure they are no Casino De Isthmus Paulson chips (which are way too expensive for me) but I wonder if we can expect a similar high quality version that where used on the set of Casino Royale?

Hmm... sounds like I've found my Xmas present.

Anyone have an idea where one might be able to buy this?

I'm guessing the official site - but it looks like these sets aren't on there yet.

Ok, we need a Double O to figure this out.

This poker set is the only thing I cared to own in relation to Casino Royale. I've been looking everywhere for it with no luck. I finally broke down and called Cartamundi USA directly today and they literally had no idea how to buy their sets.

I first asked if they knew what stores sold their products and they didn't know (!), then I asked if I could just buy a set right from them over the phone and she said they couldn't do that. I was literally saying "I have money I want to give you! Please take it!" but it didn't work. This is how the conversation ended:

Me: "Well, who do you sell these products to then?
CM: "We sell them directly to stores."
Me: "Can you tell me which stores so I might buy this set?"
CM: "Um, I'm not sure, but you can talk to our retail sales rep when he returns after Christmas."

SO, does anybody have any idea where you can buy one of these (self censored) sets!?

That's the frustrating thing, you can't buy directly from them. They supposedly came out in October. If you Google it you get all kinds of press releases saying they are now out but no place to buy the dang thing.

in belgium, they sell them to all licensed toy shops...
i saw them in the cinema store in london as well...
i guess you should just try a major toy store, or a cinema store...
i was on the presentation of the product, i have a picture with all their partners somewhere... want me to post it?

If anybody in the U.S. is still looking to buy this set, I finally found it at Apache Poker Chips. They also have the "License to Kill" chips (Casino de Isthmus). It arrived from FedEx this morning and I'm thrilled with it. The set is heavy! $93 shipped.

I seek to buy the Deluxe Poker Set in Australia, but no hope. I have fired off some emails regarding it, I await the reply.

Anyone here have one of the sets? How is it?

I picked up the special edition DVD that came with two decks and a chip... Me likey! The cards are REALLY nice quality, and have the Casino Royale name on the back...

The chip (in my case a green $25) is an official casino weight, clay chip, also with the Casino Royale marque.

I would like to fing the full-blown set with cards, a full set of chips and dice (dice?)

Happy hunting!

I have it - it's terrific. A few of my friends have a bi-weekly poker game going and we now only use the casino royale set. It feels so classy to sip on a Vesper martini while tossing a stack of CR chips into the pot and glancing at my trip aces. :cooltongue:

I found mine on eBay for about $40 (US). You should check there. Good luck - it's completely worth it!

I bought both the 150 chip Travel set and the 200 chip Luxury set on eBay. Both are very nice, but I'd suggest spending the extra for the Luxury set, the wooden box alone is worth the difference in cost.

I received the luxury set from my better half for my birthday. It's a very nice set, the chips are fantastic (and the box is very good quality). Just a pity I havn't had many chances to play yet...
