Discuss this story in this thread.

Over the next few months I will add to this. It will hopefully end up being a very detailed synopsis. I like many people was disappointed with Die Another Day (particulary the handling of Miranda Frost and the last half of the film). So This will explore the wasted potential and hopefully result seeming better then the original. For now I will just leave you with the new(ish) cast.

The film opens with three figures surfing a large wave approaching the North Korean costline. Their surfing is faultless, and as soon they reach the shore. The three men, still completely covered by their wetsuits run across the beach, surfboards in hand and into the dense foliage. The surfers take off their wetsuits, revealing James Bond 007, and two other British agents completely dry underneath in smart casual wear. Odd things to be wearing near the de-militarised zone of North Korea. They twist a fin on the surfboard and the bottom slides open, revealing a Walther P99, a block of C-4 explosive and many other technical gizmos that turn on and start getting to work.

In a large helicopter a dark haired man dressed identically to Bond (with the exception of sunglasses) holds a large metalic suitcase. The pilot walks into the hold and tells the man that they have received the signal for the buyers. The chopper then changes direction.

The chopper lands, the man walks out, only to have a Walther pointed at his head by Bond. Bond's allies approach and train submachine guns on him. Bond gives a wry smile, takes the glasses and suitcase off the man and then pushes him away. We see the two additional operatives take over the controls of the chopper, and Bond now sits in the same spot as the diamond dealer before. Bond places the block of C-4 into the bottom of the suitcase, and places the tray of diamonds over the top.

The chopper lands in a North Korean Military Facility. Bond meets Colonel Tan Sun-Moon who is purchasing African Conflict Diamonds in exchange for weapons. Sun's right hand man, Zao takes a photo of Bond with a PDA, and a few minutes later, after a dialogue exchange between Bond and Moon about how he got the weapons Zao looks back at the PDA which reveals the man as James Bond 007, a British Assasin.

Zao says something in Korean to Moon, and suddenly the Helicopter explodes and Bond is placed in front of a firing squad. He twists the dial on his watch and the case of diamonds explodes. Bond takes this opportunity and dashes to a hovercraft, which he commandeers and begins to pilot through the minefield. Moon and his men are in pursuit. After leaping onto Moon's hovercraft Bond and the Colonel exchange in hand to hand combat, resulting on Moon being pressed up against the fan, Bond hits a switch and the Colonal is sucked to the fan. Approaching a Shrine Bond looks up to see a bell. The hovercraft tumbles over a cliff and into the water. Bond is hanging to the bell, makes a smart quip and then turns around to see guns pointed in his face.

Throught the main title sequence we see Bond being tortured at the hands to the Korean, to a slow and haunting song by Madonna.
