Technology the only way to bring back Dalton

Given the rate of technology, special effects we've seen, perhaps in 40 years time, when most of us are old men and women, computers will be able to digitally scan actors from films, and satalities will be able to place them anywhere in the world, voices also recorded to say anything you want, films at this point are no longer producedby hollywood, because technology exists to make books into films, so a story is inputed into a computer, a bond story, choose your actor, Dalton, Moore, Connery etc, so choose Dalton, and he can be in hundreds of Bond stories, from ian flemming films to everything else. Cast new Bond women, and everything else.
Sort of like the holodeck in star trek, but not projecting the world around you, but still on a screen, bare in mind hollywood now is out of business, since everyone can access whatever entertainment how they want it, books are still popular, people need stories, but the movie making process is tailored to anyone.
So if we believe in this, perhaps Dalton will come back as Bond. Technology cannot be underestimated, this way we get Bond we want, no contract legal delays, no new actors, no actors getting old, it's the next step of entertainment, make your film, post it on the internet. I haven't given up hope on Dalton returing in some form.
Shoot me now for the insanity of the thread.

I wouldn't pull the trigger, Sean -- because I'm with you on this one! This is a fan wishful thinking post.

And this wonderful day may come a lot sooner than you think. Several years back, Coca-Cola did a commercial wherein Cary Grant, resplendent in his custom-tailored double-breasted dinner suit, is seated on a bar stool, surrounded by a crowd of people talking, laughing, and ordering more and more Cokes. The bar is typically noisy and lively, yet Grant just continues to sit silently -- grinning disarmingly all the while. Of course, most of the people in the crowd were not even born when the still photograph of Grant was taken, yet the viewer would swear in a court of law that all of the participants in the commercial were photographed at the same time.
So successful was this ad, that others were soon seen, involving James Cagney and Humphrey Bogart.
And, although I know less than nothing about sound technology, I would wager that the day is not far off (if, in fact, it is not already here) where anyone's voice can be digitally altered to sound like taht of someone else.
So: no, Sean, my dear friend, I will not shoot you -- although Mr. Dalton might!

The sound of his voice would thrill the living daylights out of Lady Rose, Pam Bouvier, and me -- that's for certain!I'd love to see a video game pick up where LTK left off...maybe Dalton 007 can still be a "Rogue Agent" and be an independant contractor "problem Eliminator". Dalton could perform the voice...that would be cool.

I think realistically, a voice over for a game is about the only way we would get Tim back as Bond. Very cool idea.
It would also be the first game that I've ever bought thats for sure ( just for the voice )

Is there anyway that I can say his voice would thrill me too without sounding gay?
I think there is...so it would.

Just to see all the bonds together in one room when they were young, if someone pulled that advert off, it would be just awesome. And better yet, perhaps bring Desmond back as Q, and they are all talking to him!! awesome!! Oh I believe that ppk is my gun says Connery's bond, no it's mine says Roger's Bond, just give me the rifle Q says Dalton's Bond, and george just excuses himself and has a drink.

I'd love to see Dalton back, but only in a game. I'm all for the prospect of having a game from each Bond, but I wouldn't have Dalton back as Bond. Come on guys, I know a lot of you are Dalton lovers here, but his era ended 16 years ago, we've had Brosnan's era and now we'll have Craig's era as Bond. It's best just to enjoy Dalton's films and leave it at that, in the past.
I'll always enjoy the Dalton films, but nothing wrong with being mindful of the future in a fun sort of way for the possibilities.

That would be amazing!!!! Kind of like that huge billboard, a few years back, showing each of the five of them in their prime. (The photograph was cleverly done, as well: Lazenby and Dalton occupied the two end positions, so that the picture could be cropped, thus eliminating them, and leaving only the centre three.)Another thing that would be nice, Connery, Moore, George, Dalton and Brosnan, all young and in their prime in a advert like Wendy talked about with Cary grant.

But having the five of them together in an ad, as you said in your first line, Sean? Shouldn't be at all difficult to do, these days!

Of course you are correct, Carver; as Sean prefaced his very first post in this thread, it's just wishful thinking.I'd love to see Dalton back, but only in a game. Besides, we all know that the likelihood of any of the former Bonds returning is about as good as the chance of Martin Campbell flying to the planet Pluto on a broom!

No, not differcult at all and infact its more or less been done already. Here in the UK they recently showed the whole series from DAD backwards ( different spin on things ) on TV. The trailers advertising it were exactly as you say having all the Bonds interact and in casinos' etc. Little snippets from each actor. It was very cool.
And Carver, we're just having a little fun. I think we all know TD isn't coming back as Bond, but we Dalton fans are a stubborn lot and if we can get our man back, WE WILL !!!

I know, I didn't mean to cause any offense in my previous post, sorry if I did Sean. Dalton wasn't my favourite Bond, but I do admit that it's a bloody shame he didn't do more Bond films. Heck, he starred in my favourite Bond flick, The Living Daylights (in which he was superb, I might add). To be honest though, if we were gonna have technology, then I'd like us to have Connery back .I'll always enjoy the Dalton films, but nothing wrong with being mindful of the future in a fun sort of way for the possibilities.
By the way, I love your idea about brining all 5 Bond's back, that truely would be a sight to behold!
Ha ha, I hear you there Lady Rose. I know you Dalton fans worship TD, but I reckon you're all Connery fans at heartAnd Carver, we're just having a little fun. I think we all know TD isn't coming back as Bond, but we Dalton fans are a stubborn lot and if we can get our man back, WE WILL !!!

Well, this is the end then. When the audience prefers their old favorites instead of remain open to new people, technology will take over.
Who said anything about preferring old favourites instead of remaining open to new people??
This thread is just a bit of fun, nothing more and for the record, I am very much looking forward to Daniel Craig and his real emotions and abilities

Well, I guess Ford did have Steve Mcqueen in a new Mustang commercial. Ford really just cut him out of the Bullit Movie and set him in a cornfield. I guess it is somewhat possible.
How odd- they did the same thing many years ago over here in an ad for the Ford Puma.

Particularly because his voice is so fabulous. I have tapes of some interviews Dalton gave three years ago, and his voice is so rich and deep, that even the two interviewers said, "We don't care what you say, we just like to hear the sound of your voice!"
