I'm a little bummed about what they said for the multiplayer; I was really really looking forward to that. Oh well, I know I'll love it anyway.

These reviews are disappointing, but I'm inclined to disagree with them. I'm sure Russia is a much superior video game than the POS EoN. The most important thing is that the creators aren't tampering with what makes James Bond James Bond. :)

I'm picking up a copy once I can. And I will love it.

If I do not enjoy this video game, I am willing to shove any object that you name... inside myself. :) <-note the serious face

LOL, I didn't bother to read it mind you. I saw the review listed at Gamerankings.com and just linked to it :)

Should have known they would put something in there like that. Of course you have to ask how much credibility does a "mens magazine" have at rating video games. The single paragraph review should give you a good clue to the answer there...

Oh, by all means, I'm glad you did - it's good to see all the reviews out there to get as many opinions as possible on the game.

And agreed with your second paragraph too.

Still sad that I can't play it, in spite of any reviews.

Looks like great fun.

Any bets on when the first 'FRWL sucks, this doesn't bode well for CR' thread gets started?

Well, I just got my copy yesterday and haven't stopped playing it since. IT'S FREAKIN AWESOME!!!! Connery is indeed the centerpiece that holds the game together but the voices of the other characters are pretty darn close even without the actors themselves doing the voices. As far as presentation, I feel like I'm back in the 60s wathcing FRWL again (not that I was ever there in the first place, but anyway...). It has a real authentic Bond movie feel which starts with the intro (which was very well done). I'd have to say the reviewers are dead wrong on this one. There are so many cool things to do from upgrading weapons to finding new outfits. The best part about the gameplay IMO is that they really capture the physicality and the "brawler" fighting style of Connery's Bond. The close-combat moves are excellent. The first driving level was very good, nothing really new on that front except of course the DB5. The graphics and facial models are wonderful. Connery's face especially is nearly perfect. I give it 10/10. This is a GREAT GAME.
Also, as a sidenote, when you get enough points in single-player mode, buy the little Sean Connery game-making documentary.

From the site reviews so far, it amazingly doesn't seem to be as good as EoN...
