As I'm coming towards the end of my TV adaption of 'From A View To A Kill'which is very nearly complete. Ive been thinking about the other comic stripss that involve SPECTRE

So should I have SPECTRE in the adaption of the comic strips they appear in.

I was thinking that I could have a diffrent organsiation, to replace SPECTRE, as I don't really want the tv series to relate to the film franchise to much.

or replace them with individual villains that have no connections to evil organisations as evil organsitions I think will come quite boring.

Also 'The Harpies' sounds very sixties. Do I keep the title or change it to something a bit more modern, afterall it is modern adaptions.

Just wanting to know what you CBNer's think.

I like the ideas that you have there, Gri007. Here are my suggestions:

-Start Bond off in a Casino Royale type story in which Bond falls in love, only to have her try to kill him at the end of the pilot episode
-Stick w/ individual villains at first, then bring in SPECTRE, or some neat sounding name for an evil organization
-Put a character in MI-6 to be a sort of problem spot for Bond and M, make sure the audience has no ideas where his true loyalties are.
-Give Bond a recurring love interest, who isn't Moneypenny (like Sylvia Trench)
-Just keep it fun, beutiful women, car chases, action and danger
-If you are wanting to do Bond begins and are stuck on how to do it and still be faithful to the core of the character, I suggest getting Batman Year One by Frank Miller and any of the Ultimate Spider-Man TPB's. Those do a good job of refreshing their characters while sticking to their respective cores.

Hope that helps you out.

Bond begins. No. Thanks for the info though.

Unfortunalty I have completed the pilot episode. But the women who would tried to have killed Bond could possably be in another episode.

the sylvia Trench, I do like.

All I'm doing HCMV007 is adapting the coimc strips that appered in the daily express and bringing them to modern day.

I'll obviously see what other CBNER's have to say.

BTW. Would you ever like to see a Bond TV series.

Congrats on finishing the pilot. As far as a Bond tv series, yes I would love to see one, and one done in the fashion that you are doing it in, if you need help for anything as far as plots or etc, feel free to e-mail me anytime. I have some ideas myself in those regards.

There is thread somewhere about this. I think the staff had took it off.

If I ask nicely they might put it back on.

If we deleted it, it was because of a breaking in forum rules and/or policy. Do you know what forum it was in?

It is probably in one of those two forums then, unless it was moved to a more appropriate location.

I cant find it.

I can't really see why they would have deleted it. I don't think it broke the policy.

Then it probably wasn't. (Know that there have been endless threads in those two forums in the "Current" section lately.)

Hi JameswpBond

Havn't had a chance to welcome you to CBN. So here goes.

Welcome :)

Seeing that the original thread of the Bond TV series can't be traced. I'll explain as you requested :)

I've always had a dream of experimenting with Bond.

TV SERIES

I think it would be a great idea that James Bond came to the TV. seeing that we have to wait 2 to three years for a Bond film I thought that to keep our tastebuds wet, why not bring Bond to the tele.

The stories would come from the original post Fleming comic strips such as 'The Harpies', 'River of Death' and 'The Golden Ghost' They'll be filmed in modern times with the plots updated.

I hope I'll do it in my spare time (not professionaly, though). Some people on CBN where against the idea some where up for it.

What do you think should Bond be good with it's own TV series :)

BTW does anybody have a rough idea of how long a 36page script would be on film (how many minuets/hours)

This thread has reminded me of a short lived 007-like spy series that aired on FOX about 10 years ago. I remember liking it but can't recall very many details. Anyone?

OK folks another TV crisis has popped up.

Could any one tell me a good film that envolves a male falling in love with a female then the female betraying her lover

It needs to be quite emotional towards the end and we see the love developing through out the film. (Don't say Casino Royale or Vertigo) preferebly a recent film.

Cheer's

Can no one think of any titles. the idea is for me to watch the film and if I like the construction of the story, I'll get a copy of the screenplay. It will give me an idea of how to write the love scenes in the episodes and how to approach the betrayal.

The one who starred the late Mark Frankle? the Heir apparent at the time to take over after Brosnan. I think it was Fortune Hunter ( not the later version with Tia Carrea)

Also a 36 page script would be 36 minutes on screen also add three 2 minute station breaks and you have a 40 minute tv show. 1 page = 1 minute of film time in a motion picture. TV shows run a little diffrent because of breaks for ads. so your script is running a little short

Yes, CBn team member TheSaint and I were big fans of Fortune Hunter - and we were both looking forward to Frankle taking over from Brosnan. He did say he tested for Goldeneye - I would love to see that screen test footage.

I was incredibly sorry to hear about his tragic death.
