Sunday 21st August at 8.30pm AEST
James Bond's mission begins with a spectacular high-speed hovercraft chase through a minefield in the demilitarised zone separating North and South Korea.
From Hong Kong to Cuba to London, Bond circles the world in his quest to unmask a traitor and prevent a war of catastrophic proportions.
On his way, he crosses paths with two beautiful adversaries, Jinx and Miranda Frost. Hot on the trail of a megalomaniac Gustav Graves and his ruthless right-hand man Zao. Bond travels to Iceland into the villian's lair, a palace built entirely of ice. There he experiences firsthand the power of a new hi tech weapon.
Ultimately it all leads to an explosive and unforgettable conclusion.
Stars PIERCE BROSNAN, HALLE BERRY, JUDI DENCH, JOHN CLEESE, TOBY STEPHENS, ROSAMUND PIKE, RICK YUNE, SAMANTHA BOND, MICHAEL MADSEN, WILL YUN LEE and COLIN SALMON.

Actually, it's slim pickins' for Die Another Day-bashers.
Over on Nine, there's the usual CSI double, whilst Ten is screening a documentary charting its 40-year history, which will no doubt serve as a two-hour advertisement for itself.
Brosnan fans should stay tuned in after Die Another Day, as The Fourth Protocol airs directly following it.

Curious to see what sort of a wrap Die Another Day has got in papers around Australia.
The Courier-Mail gave it a good review on Thursday, which I don't have here. However, I've got two more...

Decent ratings for last night's screening.
Across its almost-three hours, it averaged 1.173 million viewers, and it propped Seven up for an above-average night.

Brosnan's seem to do pretty good with the ratings on TV lately.

To put it into perspective, anything over 1 million viewers is pretty good, especially for films, which just plain don't rate in Australia.
The TEN special scored just over 1.3 million viewers, whilst the first hour of CSI pulled in 1.557 million (the second New York-set episode dropped to under Die Another Day's average, though).
Still, I don't think Seven could have expected any better ratings, given it went until almost 11:30pm on a Sunday night. It ought to secure a place in the week's Top 50 shows.
