Thanks Athena....Knowing that Bond actors like Tanya Roberts and Richard Kiel have been there and Lana Wood is coming there is pretty cool since I live only about 2 or 3 miles from the Fair Grounds.
CBn will be well represented by myself, doublenoughtspy and (new member) Dr Shatterhand. It should be an interesting visit with Plenty to talk about. :)

What a great time we had...in total we spent 2 hours chatting with Lana about all things Bond. Charles said he would write it up and post it, so watch this space...there was also a trivia question that she posed regarding one of the DAF publicity still photos that had all three of us stumped. It was a photo that Cubby said could not be shown and laid out of sight until recently when it was unearthed by a writer writing an in-depth book on James Bond.

Yikes...scary looking photo...I look drunk or stoned, or something!

It was a lot of fun though, she was so full of energy and good humor.

Another top notch report from the East coast crew. :)

Very interesting about the picture. Also loved the Harry Saltzman story.

Kind of makes sense too I guess. Diamonds Are Forever was more a Cubby film than a Saltzman one I think.

I'd be interested in hearing more about the book that was mentioned..The one which led to the uncovering of that photo.

Sorry I haven't had a chance to get online in the last two days. The Three Bondalleros, Charles, Darren and myself, had a terrific time interviewing Ms. Wood. I was able to pull her away for nearly 20 minutes to do a one-on-one video interview, which I'm in the process of editing. She mentioned about the missing scene where Wint and Kidd kill her and why it is not in the final film. Not to forget to mention the feelings on the set while kissing Sean.

I plan to also have a written interview with the video portion at my site in the next week or two. Lana Wood was such a pleasent person to speak with and she had loads of stories which included famous actors such as David Jenssen and Fred Astaire.

According to her website, Lana's daughter has had cancer and the medical bills have been difficult. This is one of the reasons she does three of these shows per year, to help pay down the cost. I offered two DAF items (a CD of the original soundtrack and a PAN version of the novel) for her to sign with an inscription on each. I would like to offer these, in the next few days, as an online auction. The money will be sent to Lana to help pay down her daughter's medical expenses.

I personally would like to thank both Charles and Darren for watching my camera bag while Lana and I went off to do the interview. Special kudos goes to Athena for alerting CBn about the Antique Collectible Show.

Over and out.
