Could probably buy two N64's...although GERA in turn has gone down in price pretty quick. :)

I never got to play GE on the N64. I heard it was the best but the controller was annoying.

I thought the controls were relatively easy and straightforward. Tomorrow Never Dies is the bad one IMO.

I meant the shape of the controller, three parts, my brother has a hard time using them. I have never ever played a N64. I've only played a SNES, GBC and GBA SP.

Oh I see. I thought PS1 controllers were kind of odd at first, but that is because I had played N64 for three or so years previously. Either way it becomes very easy eventually IMO.

I miss my SNES. Anyway, I would like EA to remake GoldenEye and make it the best ever ever.

After the relative failure of GoldenEye: Rogue Agent, I'm expecting them to distance a bit from the GoldenEye idea.

THey should've taken more time and effort. It could've been good if they kept to some of their old ideas such as AI bots, all sorts of characters such as Bond and other movie/ previous game characters.

I guess the thing that initially turned me off to the game, besides the high price tag, was that you were playing with the classic 007 villians in classic locations, but you have Desert Eagles, Uzis, Rocket Launchers, and all kinds of souped up weapons that were not around back in the 60s or 70s when the classic villains were around. I'm stilly playing Shadow of Rome, so perhaps I'll get this when it drops to the $20 bin... it can sit on the shelf next to 007 Racing I guess.

How crap was that then? I gave it a pass cos of the graphics and that you only drove a car and no movement whatsoever.

007 Racing is pretty awful. At times it's okay, you get to drive around in different Bond cars blowing stuff up, the Q is constantly yelling at you. That combined with the rather difficult levels, mediocre gameplay, sub-par graphics and high annoyance factor leave this game gathering dust on the shelf.

Or leave it to gather dust in the store, where it belongs, or just to be canceled like the pc version of The World is Nor Enough, which looked brilliant compared to the PS1 version.

Pretty much sums it up. I haven't played this game thoroughly in a long time so maybe it's time to try it out again.

Would you say it was a good driving game? Or a lame one.

I wonder what GoldenEye would be like with a driving level?

Could add more to it. EA just needed more time, much more to improve the story, graphics, character development, mp, able to have a stock of weapons and not just 2 at a time, etc.

Which GoldenEye game are you referring to? The original or Rogue Agent here?

Rogue Agent. I've never played tghe original. I only talk about RA, unless it has got to do with the original. Plus I said 'EA'. Rare made GoldenEye 64 or whatever you want to call it, EA made Rogue Agent.

I rented it today. I'm enjoying it somewhat. I like the double gun feature though. But it seems like a carbon copy of Agent Under Fire.

What do you mean by that? You can't have dual weapons in it. Graphics are different. Bond is hardly in it. Gamespot sscored them both 6.whatever. Besides what's so sameish?

Goldeneye: Rogue Agent is definitely not worth buying. I made the mistake of shelling out the $50 for the "game", and was left quite disappointed. It moves very sluggishly and the whole concept behind it is just not good at all. Who wants to play a Bond game that doesn't feature Bond anyway?

Put it this way, it's not a Bond game. It's a spin-off.

Spin-offf's don't have the main character as the main character from something else. I.e, Bond is hardly in this 'cause it's a spin-off to Bond. :)

It wasn't even a decent spin-off, though. The game was just lousy by FPS standards and I'm amazed that EA even thought that they could charge $50 for that terrible, terrible game. If you go into any videogame store now and look at used copies of the game, you'll see that it only cost like $20 or $25 (which is still too much for that lousy game) while other used games that came out around the same time as GE:RA are going for anywhere from $30 to $40. That's should say something for the game's quality.
