Every year the DVD wishlist gets smaller and smaller but there are still titles I wish would make an appearance:

Top of my list:
'Sphinx' - Lesley Anne Down/Frank Langella and John Rhys-Davies
'Rough Cut' - Lesley Anne Down, David Niven and Burt Reynolds.
'Golden Rendezvous' - Richard Harris in Alistair MacLean adaptation
'Hostage Tower' - Maud Adams in MacLean movie
'Bear Island' - Donald Sutherland in another MacLean movie. Bad movie, but I want it anyway.

Would be on list without a region free player
'Silver Bears' (Region 4)
'High Road to China' (Region 2)
'Lassiter' (Region 2)
'The Heroes of Telemark' (Region 2)
'Caravan to Vaccares' (Region 4)
'Fear is the key' (Region 2)
"Peter Cushing Sherlock Holmes Collection' (Region 2)
'The Count of Monte Cristo' (1976) (Region 4)
'Raise the Titanic' (Region 2)

I know...I was just being flippant. I was actually one of the few on CBn who seemed to like her techno DAD track.

the track is not bad at all, but nothing terrific. She has done good work, and bad work too, such as many artists out there. :)

I also would like to see on dvd:

Death Wish
a special edition of To Walk With Lions

I'd like to see these out on DVD in Region 1, at least:

Le Samourai (Alain Delon)

Miami Vice--Every episode in the series.

(Back when Miami Vice was still in its first run, it occurred to me that Sonny Crockett was basically the American version of James Bond. He had the expensive clothes, cars, watches and other props. He had the retired surfer savoir-faire. He had to pretend to be something he was not--to look like one of society's enemies in order to defeat society's enemies. He was armed and was an agent of his country's policy. James Bond, American style.)

I want special editions of the "Batman" series. The DVD's that are available are pretty much bare-bones.

I am happy with the Star Wars films I have. I don't lose sleep over what they did to it. I have a life and don't live in my parents' basement, cursing whether Han Solo should have shot first. I really don't care!:)

The charm of those early SW films was the ingenuity displayed by a young filmaker with limited resources and great instintcs. The new films and the special editions represent for me the "art" of a self indugant billionaire who has lived in isolation and has lost touch with real people(Jar Jar??). I would hate to see Ray Harryhausen's brilliant work overhauled just because we have the tools to make the effects better now. His films are great achievements in effects and a window into a time when people had to be inventive rather than lazy... *sigh*

They probably will release it this year seeing that "Sahara" is coming out. But, it's cool to have it in Region 2 for right now.

I'd really like to get the U.F.O. TV series on R4.

Joe 90, Space: 1999, The Thunderbirds, The Terahawks, & Captain Scarlet are all available in Oz, but you think I can find U.F.O. anywhere!!?? :)

I don't have the ones I posted above, and I will only get Space:1999 and U.F.O. I was just highlighting what Anderson product is already available in Oz. I'm a much bigger fan of U.F.O so I wonder why no DVD boxed set yet?

I'll second the motion for Equalizer, The Adventures of Superman tv series
(rumored to be on the horizon), Batman tv series(we may never live long enough to see this released if WB & Fox don't resolve the greed issues), Superboy tv series, Fortune Hunter, T.J.Hooker, Matt Houston, all 4 Dean Martin Matt Helm films(The Silencers dvd used a tv print & is bare bones), U.N.C.L.E., 6 Million Dollar Man, Spenser:For Hire, Vega$, Spider-Man live-action tv series(yes, I liked it), complete Filmation DC heroes animated series,
Shazam!, The Super Cops(hard enough to find on vhs)...good for a start.

The Man From U.N.C.L.E definitely.. I do have some of the VHS that they made in the early 90's of the best episodes. On the U.N.C.L.E note, did you hear about the movie they are supposedly in the works of making?
