Interesting reviews so far.

IGN's Xbox review has about the same opinion, but says that the online multiplayer is decent, which is mainly what I bought it for. Still, dissapointing that it seems to be average. I'll probably moderately enjoy the single player and then play it on Xbox live (if I can put down Halo 2 long enough).

Very interesting. I'm disappointed to hear that there are only 8 (albeit very "long and tedious" as they put it) levels. This is one of the reasons I don't like to replay Nightfire. I'd rather have a game in the style of Everything or Nothing, where the levels are shorter, yet they take place in the same location.

My predictions were true.

EA Games, I'm really sorry about this, but you SUCK! :)

(P.S. IGN also gave this lackluster FPS a 6.5)

Quite so Paul. I must say, judging solely by these reviews so far, I'm very surprised. Everything I heard about this game from a variety of sources described it as being quite the game. Yet it seems to be doing average so far.

Of course it's just come out and everyone differs, but I think I expected a somewhat higher first impact.

I don't know Qwerty, my expectations were never very high for the game nor for the waves it might make in the gaming community. I'd rather not sound like a pessimistic fan, but EA has failed to impress in all its Bond game efforts. It sometimes has great ideas, but the execution of them just isn't there (mainly, the quality of gameplay). I expect Rogue Agent to do fairly well on the basis of the Bond license, but I don't expect it to be "the" game or a great game in the vein of the first GoldenEye. Still, the idea of seeing old Bond characters and sets coupled with a decent multiplayer mode, means I'll probably still buy it.

I somehow knew that this would happen.

EA not living up to the hype is typical of the corporate company.

Figures. I had little hope for this game, anyways, and this just means less money out of my (or potentially parents') pockets.

From 1Up's review:

"Christopher Lee stands out as the exception with a beautiful reprise of Francisco Scaramanga."

Well, at least the one thing I'm buying the game for doesn't suck! :)

Liek Bond films are made by english people, Bond games should also be made by english people (like rare at the time).

I'm tired of EA and all of their games. They ar ejust trying to make the game "hype" by getting famous star to voice the games, by taking bad DJ to make the music, and tell you that Ken Adam create the level design which is just plain untrue. Anyway, EA, please try to find some talented people with original idea....

I had a feeling it would just be a way to latch onto the name. At least EON was a good effort. But I think I'll stick with HALO 2 for now. Maybe when this hits twenty bucks.

why give it to somebody new when you can have the people who made the best bond game in history make the next bond game. and since now free radical is making games that are being distributed by ea now they should ask them if they would be interested (who wouldnt be?)

EA Games better give up the [fudge]ing Bond licence NOW!!! WTF...udge? Is it too [fudge]ing hard for them bastards to use simple [fudge]ing LOGIC??? You can't outdo the original Bond game GoldenEye 64 by having the player take the role of a villian!!! [Freak] YOU EA GAMES!!! [Freak] YOU!!!

Dumb idea of a game! I'm so glad it didn't work!

Make a game with Bond in it for crying out loud!

EA: stick with sports games.

i just had an idea that would have possibly been better for this game. instead of having you work for goldfiner they should of had you work for Draco in the war against spectre

Interesting idea, but I would still prefer Bond.

Heck, I don't even NEED GE:RA! All you need is a copy of Nightfire for PC, try Team Deathmatch, fill teams MI6 and Pheonix to the max with bots (6 bots per team), and play Fort Knox. I could play that for hours!

(P.S. For enemies use "Castle Guard" skins and make them easy if you like so it seems more "Bond". Best weapons to use are P-90 and Greande Launcher.)

I'd never play something as turgid as this.

I won't waste my time for EA at all. Never.

I'll stick to HALO-2. A quality game.

Hear that, EA? QUALITY! Something you lack!
