I say he's one of the best british actors of his generation.
I say he could be the perfect James Bond.
He has charisma and charm. He has a perfect fit image and a darker side producers can explore...
In my oppinion only Jude Law can outperform Pierce Brosnan.
Worldwide audiences will be thrilled with Mr. Law as 007!

Actually, I think I would rather see Rikki Lee Travolta as Bond.
An adaptation of "For Special Services" may be just what the doctor ordered, though.

1. Too popular and would never commit to a series.
2. Salary demands would be outrageous.
3. He's way too much of a pretty boy.
4. Bond is not blond.
5. People Magazine says who the Sexiest Man Alive is.

Not this woman.Women say he's the most sexy man alive.
Two years ago, People magazine named Ben Affleck as the "Sexiest Man Alive" and his career went downhill from there. However, Johnny Depp seems to have survived the "honour".
Actually I've nothing against Jude Law but he's yet to be in a movie I've felt like watching.

I think he could play Bond, but as I mentioned in another thread, it's really difficult to see these contenders playing James Bond without seeing them in a Tux etc.

Entertainment Weekly had an article about it. Starring in 6 movies between September and December is a quick way to overstay your welcome.
The article also pointed out that Law can't "Open" a film, i.e. have it be a success because he is in it.
I love how movie execs tried to blame the election as the reason Alfie flopped.
He is much too feminine to be Bond.

A Mannaquin can do just as well as Pierce Brosnan...but it has to be at least 6'1, dark hair...Jude isn't tall enough. He looks too delicate for Bond too. I'm sure he can get the babes but he doesn't come off as dangerous. At all.

ya know, when i first saw this, i scoffed at it, but when i actually think about it, jude law could make a desent Bond, then again, he might not. I stick with saying Clive Owen would be perfect.
I agree. Clive is my first choice... but if Law becomes Bond, I think he'd be good at it. It's all based on the writing and I think if he became Bond that Wilson and Broccoli would make it work.

I registered at this site to voice my opinion on the subject of Jude Law as James Bond: I think he is an inappropriate choice because he took it up the from Stephen Fry in the film 'Wilde'. It's SO not Bond. Not that there's anything wrong with it...ahem.
I mean, can you imagine the e-mail attachments that could end up on the net spoofing Bond using that footage? It must not be!
Jude is Wrong.
