That I have not worked out yet, expect a few months for it most likely.

There are still quite a few stories that need to come in, some I've given a few days extra to be worked on. Once I get all the stories (or most of them), Joyce, Hawkeye, Clink, Mr. *, and myself will be reading all of them. I'll start putting up further announcements then.

Keep your eyes on this thread. :)

Bond111 & Hitch have worked out arrangements for a small extension on posting their stories.

Jim, any luck retrieving yours?

Gabe, Dan, Mark, Max, Wade, Number Six, I strongly encourage you to PM me if you need to discuss your stories - I can make small extensions for you if needed and it works with the schedule. If not, get your stories in ASAP now.

Other than those notes, that's it for now.

No - it's gone forever.

I can remember the basic nature of what was going on, though, so I may give it another whirl in due course, but don't delay the deadline on this event for it.

And this time I may back it up. Ah well, live and learn and smash one's head against the wall for three hours, that's what I say (through a mouth of gnashed teeth).

:) I hope you do get it going in the future for sure.

Readers note a few posts above if you've yet to post your story.

I would like to really apologise for signing up for this contest, and having to pull-out.

Unfortunately, my times been taken up with my website/forums, and being able to get my head together to make a start. The old 'greymatter' ain't what it used to be. :)

I would like to wish all the contestants all the best, and very good luck with your entries.

I will have something ready by the end of March if anyone's interested. :)

Cheers all,

Ian

Not a problem Bondian. Bond Bishop, I can't say at the moment. All is going well at the moment, but now the judges need to read the stories and we then compile the winners into collections for the main page.

So: I'd like to say yes, there will be another contest, I'm just not sure when.

Still waiting on word from: Gabe, Mark, Dan, Number Six, and Wade.

Excellent. Can't wait for more stories to make their way to the Fan Fiction Posting forums. I must say, I've been really enjoying most of what I've read so far.

Can anyone give me an ETA as to when the contest may be over? I don't want to rush anybody or anything, it's just that I'm going on vacation for a week and I'd like to see if time coincides. If you can't give me an estimate for whatever reason then that's okay.

I'm afraid I can't at the moment 00-Fan. I have to allow a few weeks for the judges to read the 15+ stories and then the process of putting the selected stories into book form begins. If it's just a week, I wouldn't worry about it either way.

Quick question jury members, how should i be going about the judging process? I'm gonna make notes on all the stories as i read them. Should i forward my scribblings to the rest of you, and you send me some notes yada yada yada. Let me know.

Good point. I've read a lot of the stories so far, but not yet made any notes. I am, however, in the process of making a list of stories I'd suggest for the collection.

I can still write some comments for each story if that would be helpful.

I was just going to submit a list of the 6-8 stories that I thought to be the best, listed best to least best. If there do not end up being 6-8 stories that seem to be up to par, then I will only submit the names of those that are. In other words, quality > length :).

I am also jotting down notes with the intention of leaving blurbs in the authors' feedback threads, unless we come up with a better way of sharing/presenting commmentary.

My apologies for not getting back with you guys. I put in 65 hours at work this week and, well, James Bond must take a backseat to getting paid.

Perhaps my story will be completed and released independently of any contest. I'll certainly be reading all of the entries.

Thanks,
--Eric

Curses! Qwerty, thanks for letting me have another week, but my "short story" has ballooned and refuses to stop expanding. It must be all the hot air I churn out. :) Please cross me off the list for the +10,000 word section.

If I finish the story in about ten days would you still publish it on CBn once you have time?

Drat, damn and double drat.

The only good thing about this is that it leaves me time to enjoy reading all the excellent stuff by everyone else. :)

Qwerty, much as I'd love to stay in the +10,000 section I won't finish my tale for another ten days. That's not fair to everyone else who met the deadline, so I'll retire gracefully. :)

I was going to string together a list of four-letter words to display my frustration, but I'm sure you've heard them all before. :)

I was too late as well. It could it have been fun if I wrote a story, but things have been too busy for me. I wouldn't have wrote a story like say in 20 minutes, it would have to take weeks for me write a worthy story if I even want a chance to win the contest. Well not anymore :)

Plowing my way through, but I should be able to make good headway tomorrow...maybe finish. If not, I will certainly be done by Tuesday.
