Not a bad story but Alan Grant should have been in it to make it more interesting.

Finally got it. Sounds interesting.

Edit: Tried again, and then it wouldn't come up.

Jurassic Park was the movie of my child hood.

So shoot me in the face before this is made.

Read that earlier...It sounded cool before the dino-superfriends idea...but a sort of Dino-armeggeddon type of disaster would be awesome...oh well. Wow,I never imagine John Sayles wrote The Howling!?.

Sounds like crap to me. None of the movies have been great representation of Crichton's most excellent novels, and Jurassic Park III was plain insulting. This one doesn't sound much better.

The problem that I had with the first Jurassic Park films was that there weren't enough guns. But I would've liked to see Jeff Goldblum as Ian Malcom again. I haven't seen him in a long time. And he should've gotten his hands on some nice weaponry this time. :) Kind of like when Grant got that Spas 12-gauge in JP:1. (Damn Grant gets all the goddamn guns! :) )

My beef with Jurassic Park is that they took what should have been a terrifying R-rated action/horror flick and made it kid-friendly. A darn shame.

You have to agree that JP3 was far superior to The Lost World though? That's my opinion, anyhow.

Hmm...This story sounds like utter dross. I really do not like it. I'd rather have a faithful science/horror adaptation of Crichton's novels.

After re-reading the story, I have a hard time believing that it's credible. You would have to credit Steven Spielberg with a little more sense than to be excited about a film about genetically engineered commando dinosaurs with dextrous hands who have the obediance of dogs and the problem solving ability of humans.

Does this mean tool and weapon use in JP4? Will we have mini-gun toting dinosaurs striking blows for democracy and freedom?

The first movie was the best one, IMO. Lost World was really good, too, but there was a lot of stupid mistakes that the characters made, like camping their trailer on the side of a cliff. I enjoyed the third movie, as well, but I found it way too short.

This is NOT Jurrassic Park.

The first one was, the second one also, and even the third one was all the way.

This one I am not sure about. You need those actors and their characters, they made the three films outstanding.

Was really looking forward to this, now I am not sure.

I WON'T even get started about the crap they call a plot, but one thing that irks me (and the same one that got me with LOST WORLD) is no Dr. Grant!? I'm sorry, but he IS Jurrassic Park. Sam Neill rocks!!

What the fork is this. If it was made, i'd see it...but only from a madness standpoint. Then again, I think the franchise was ruined during number 2, what can this possibly do wrong? :)

Not liking this! They should reunite Alan Grant, Ian Malcolm and Ellie Sattler to go to Nublar and do something. Not this.

If there's any truth in that rather selective report - that's extraordinary. Well, it's certainly different.

Actually, to hell with the euphemisms - it would be rubbish.

As a big fan of all three Jurassic Park films...

Oh, dear God no. I heard rumblings of these dinosaurs-trained-as-soldiers but never actually considered this as the real deal. The opening sequence sounds cool - if only to see kids slaughtered by dinosaurs, as opposed to the kiddies using gymnastics on them. Call me sadistic, but I'm tiring of the obligatory kid in each film. I want a dark and violent Jurassic Park IV. But I also want a storyline much better than this piece of tosh.

I much prefered the [I think it turned out to be] fan-created plot that went as such...

65 million years ago, a terrible disease plauged the Earth which brought about the extinction of the dinosaurs. In the early eighties, when InGen cloned the dinosaurs, they also brought this disease back with them and it has been present ever since before Jurassic Park (thus explaining the sick Triceratops and Brachiosaur). Now this disease has become fully active in the dinosaurs and they're all getting very ill. When dinosaur carcasses start washing up on the shore of Costa Rica, a team (including Alan Grant) is called out to find out what's going on. They head to the islands to study the dinosaurs and find out about the disease, known as DX. They also discover the disease is transferable to humans and could possibly bring on our own extinction.

But this... this... this is tripe. Sure, it may be well-written as this "Moriarty" chap claims, but the basic premise has to be sound before you could even consider how well-written a script is.

*smacks head against wall*

no no nonono!

Not another try to give a franchise "a new spin".
Classics have to stay classics. There's "Jurassic Park" in "The Lost World" and even "Jurassic Park 3" saved the feel of the original, but this is just a weird Sci-Fi B-movie.

And I thought it was said at least some of them would possibly return for another?
